Any chance of playing on the saturday like we did against Portsmouth away last year. Both out the FA Cup.

I would say that is a big possibility.

It would certainly help with the feeling of emptiness from a free Saturday due to getting dicked out the fa cup in round one. Still wouldn't go until all the U23s are out.

Especially as evening games at Cambridge are a nightmare to get to on the A14.

Cambridge match confirmed, Tuesday 4th Dec at 7.45 when it could have been played on the previous Saturday, a real dumb move in my opinion, will half the away support.

The competition is subject to a national fan boycott. Why would you want more fans there?

Happy personally...will be in Billericay on the Saturday, though you're right, for the vast majority of both Northampton and Cambridge fans, sure Saturday Dec 1st would have been the preferred option!

Will be interesting to get totals overall....i'd guess they are not that much changed from last season. Probably are lower than before the U21/23's came in. There have been some real shockers this season though, including the lowest ever crowd to watch a competitive match in England,,,,,, just 202 turned out to watch the dead rubber between Burton Albion and Middlesbrough U21's a couple of weeks ago. Having said that, there have been some shocking gates in the FA Cup too this season.....only 1,910 at the Valley midweek for Charlton's replay victory over Mansfield.

Based on round 1 this year crowds are: Down 4% year on year, 10.7% if you exclude Sunderland. 30% lower than what they were before B teams came in.
