Arsenal a level above and the difference was the way they kept the ball and there pressing good too.
First half way too many aimless long balls.
Coneded through giving the ball away in front of the box.
Second half much better and had Arsenal on the back foot for a 10-15 minute spell early on.
Undone around the 80 mark by a fluke; a cross which found the net.

Arsenal were a different class, quicker and sharper in all departments. The lads did well, especially in the second half when they didn't stand off them as much. Hopefully they will have learnt a lot from playing against their higher standard. Well done and a great turnout from the Cobblers fans, pity the burger bar failed to anticipate so many of us.

Official attendance was 527, of which from my 'unbiased' opinion there appeared to be half of them of claret persuasion in both stands and behind the goal. Their car park attendant was complaining that "they weren't expecting this many!" https://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/2018/december/brady_131218/

Great effort. JB is correct when he says some of these players can play at that level. Don't know how a club like Coventry can finance Cat 2 but that should be our ambition for the future.

Obviously not very good at Cat 2 as they got beat by Cogenhoe in the last round

Coventry youth are having a bad season, but compare how many players they've produced compared to us, in recent years.

We gave them a scare on quite a few occasions. They played the Arsenal way in keeping the ball but their 1st goal was from a cheap mistake and the second a fluke. Nowhere near the gulf in class as was expecting.

Nor me. Was expecting the gulf to be greater. Knew we were good but underestimated how good. Also, Arsenal benefit from playing against opposition their level every week. JB is right when he said some of these players need to out and play semi-pro. This can only make them even better if they play at a competitive enough level.

Pollock, Williams, Roberts and C McWilliams should be around the 1st team. Ditch the journeyman.

Daldy as well.
Does anyone know if Jack Daldy is related to John & Barry Daldy, the former Kettering and Wellingborough players ? It's not a common name is it?
