Everybody saying it was a great result, and brilliant - you do realise we drew against the 21st place team?

A win is always handy for morale but it was pretty meaningless, especially with non of our 3 key players starting (Pierre/Crooks/Van Veen).

I hope a B team does get to Wembley and I hope it's an embarrassment played in an empty stadium.
Might kill the competition in its current guise. But you just know the club(s) involved and the FL would push the game big time. Chelsea did £5 entry yesterday, with a free £15 scarf from the shop and free entry into a competition with a load of prizes - says its all

And we were lucky to get a draw, they were the better side.

You never want to be the better side! More often than not the better side wins, that's why they are 'the better side'. So I've got a weighted coin and heads is the good side, yet you choose tails. What's the matter with you?

If we can keep winning, keep picking up cash and maybe get a Wembley day out, what's the problem?
I can understand and accept if some people want to p00 p00 it but i really don't get the hate for this competition.
If we were to win it one day, I'd be happy for it to be on our club honours list which is, let's face it, pretty short....

We will be ball 4 in Saturdays draw (12.20pm Sky Sports Soccer Saturday) Straight knockout, can be drawn home or away this round. 1: Bristol Rovers 2. Chelsea U21 3. Cheltenham Town 4. Northampton Town 5. Peterborough United 6. Portsmouth 7. Southend United 8. Oxford United/Tottenham U21 (being played on 18th December) I hope Oxford beat Tottenham and then we get drawn at Oxford away...we always win there, guaranteed Semi-final berth!! wouldn't mind Chelsea away...not seen the Cobblers play at Stamford Bridge!! But, and its a big but, there is a possibility that if Tottenham beat Oxford and get drawn at home then the new White Hart Lane may be used for the fixture on 8th January as one of the "warm up fixtures" for safety validation ahead of a full opening. The latest date they gave out for full opening was Sunday 13th January for the game against Manchester United.

Thats probably the only scenario that will get me out of the house on a cold Tuesday night.

I'm sure if there was an internet forum when the FA Cup was first played some would've thought it pointless.
I'm not saying this competition is any good, however! As it stands it's not fair, the lower league clubs should be able to play whoever they want, not have it restricted as it is.
A "level playing field" boom, boom would be a lot fairer. An old fashioned B-Team type competition, no player from the previous first team game may play.
A bit more pride introduced might help it grow into a decent "League Cup" but for B-Teams,
