Best of luck with this Tom; I haven't personally got anything to ask that hasn't already been mentioned. Just dont challenge him to a game of poker at the end of it!

My thoughts too when I got round to reading this thread.

One basic question....what is going on??

Not expecting to hear anything that he’s not already said, not expecting any concrete (or steel, breezeblock or plaster) answers either.....he won’t break the habit of the last few years.

Fair play for taking this on though......my mind is already going forward to what next if we hear absolutely nothing new.

Just an update to say the questions have gone over to both NTFC and NBC. Will update when answers are received. Cheers.

I admire the sentiment but you were never going to get a straight answer to anything. May I refer you to the post I put up on page 1. Mind you, I am hardly smug about it, didn’t take a genius to work out. This is how it goes in corporate land, that’s why I come on here, a bit of self therapy. Within reason say what you want when you want on here, very different over in the real world unfortunately.

The statement as usual categorically states nothing whatsoever .
The two parties acknowledge they are talking but about what exactly ?
The fans and people of Northampton deserve better than this flannel - it’s been going on too long .
The cynic in me says that inertia suits both parties when the club is up for sale and the council don’t want to rock the boat .

Discussions on a 'range of topics'. Like to know what they are. Obviously, the land is one but you wonder if the discussions includes matters we are not aware of.

Here are the questions sent to NTFC & NBC by the NeneQuirer on the Sixfields Stadium redevelopment and their responses.

It's quite clear now after 3 long years  those entrusted to deliver this relatively simple first stage of Sixfields redevelopment, fitting out the East stand, are not competent to see this through, but what can us mere loyal supporters do to get them to understand that confidence in them has run out and we no longer believe a single word they utter, well that's my stance anyway, well I have a great way of speedily bringing this shamefully long running nonsensical saga to a swift conclusion and that is to encourage pre match hill top protests or just watch the games from the bank.
I will not be stepping foot back in Sixfields until ..
The east stand has been fitted out, or
Thomas sells up and the New owners/ custodians show real intent or
We draw a plum tie in the cup/ have play off games.
All other games its the Hill for me from now on .
All welcome to join me, but take a coat, it's going to be windy up there.

Thats the best incentive I have heard for leaving things as they are. Now only if a few others can join him.

Absolutely spot on Boot & Shoe.

What a load of hogwash from Thomas and NBC, both of whom are simply kicking the can down the road.

We are treated with contempt. Once again the mantra of "positive discussions"  - exactly about what, pray?  But don't let the unwashed public get ahead of themselves because this a "complicated and technical discussion" which translated means you imbeciles wouldn't understand.  Try us.

We are in dire danger of being mugged with a sham of an East Stand whilst our beloved owners do very nicely thank you on the CDNL land and live happily ever after.

PS. On reading the statement you would think NTFC and CDNL were owned by entirely separate persons.  If only.

NTFC is the sideshow.....there is nothing (as far as I can see) that states that the football club benefits in any way from the development of the adjoining land.

The Council said months ago, after the normalising of the leases, that there was absolutely nothing stopping the redevelopment of the East Stand now. The answers to the questions posed below and the response received today state that the funds to complete the stand are immediately available.

So what is the hold up?

Is there anyway a 'Freedom of Information' demand could be hurled at the Council because this is hugely evasive?

Can you ask when they are going to release a statement that says something different.

Different owners, different councillors, same bulls***

What I expect to happen is a totally unsatisfactory East Stand, a few crumbs off the development table for NTFC (its supporters are used to eating bread so why give them anything else when they are such a docile lot?) and KT claiming he and David have always acted in the best interests of the club and then make a tidy profit on the CDNL land (owned by NTFC until Super Mac allowed the titles to be split). I should add that NBC will have a slice of the action from CDNL so recovering at least some of the "missing millions".  Easy work when you supporters like you see on here supporting KT.

I do not think that is the case at all. KT wants to sell the Club (and devel. the land); NBC wont let him until he commits to completing the East Stand. Fortunately for us NBC are acting as our guarantoor. The dilemma for KT etc is that they have to spend £2 to £4m on the East Stand otherwise they face 'difficulties' with NBC on the land. This probably is the delay in sorting out some kind of deal. All along NBC are acting in our interests.

Post Edit
Following Saď's comment on 'surmise'  I should make it clear that comments above are merely my opinion..It was not my intention or otherwise to suggest in any way that my post above was based on fact.  It cànnot be only time will clarify my comments.

I actually agree with you! The KT consortium came in, and made a promise, that they would complete the stand. There was money set to do this, I’m sure it formed part of the due dilligence.
Yes, there was an issue with the leases but that ran it’s course and was allegedly sorted 7 months ago, yet KT still has no plans, and seemingly no long term vision for the club.

I doubt he is planning to do anything anytime soon, we are cutting costs not spending money.
