Hoskins is the new Ryan Gilligan.
But at 25, Gilligan upped and left and made a career for himself in Scandanavia.
Nah, Gilligan got into double figures one year!

Judge Hoskins on chances made for others, not on personal goals scored because he has a mortal fear of actually putting the ball into the net. He's generally worth his place.

Do you know how many assists he has last/this season compared to others? Then we can actually judge this. EDIT: Found this which, if, correct, is pretty damning. 8 assists in 245 games (one assist every 30 games). Also only 21 goals in 245 games (one goal every 11.5 games). The question is, what does he actually offer?? https://www.fctables.com/players/sam_hoskins-309079/

I think it is about time now that we laid the ghost of lauding how Hoskins contributes to the team effort, time and patience has now run out with him.The comparison with Gilligan is an interesting one and it shows you that even a spent force such as Gilligan had a better goals per game ratio than Hoskins, I rest my case.

I think the fact that Hoskins has been dropped from the last few starting line up speaks volumes - having said that knowing KC he’ll probably recall him today. The problem is that if he’s out of favour KC isn’t going to be able to offload him easily due to the ridiculous contract extension.

I think that 200+ games under 5 managers tells you that for all his goal scoring flaws he’s seen as a valuable team player.
That said I think if you stuck Pierre (or anyone realky) up front for that amount of games he’d have returned more goals . I do realise that he’s played in numerous positions as well

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

Fair play to the lad...Posh no doubt gonna reap about 5 million for him at some point too... DC was the only one who gained financially from our sale of Toney to Newcastle and didn't even put in a sell on clause...c***!

Having gone to the game, Ivan's ability to find space was class. Based on today's game he is worthy of higher football. He was full of running. Certain Cobblers' players it is claimed are Championship standard. I haven't seen it this season when I compare them to other players who played for the Cobblers and went on to better things. There have been flashes, but you cannot rely on many of this current squad to be consistent. Trevor Quow was at the Accrington game as kit manager for Peterborough. He is limping badly and football has taken its toll on his legs.

Good for him, certainly looked like he had potential when here and things had stalled a bit with all the loans from Newcastle. Hope he leaves Boro soon though.

Posh will make the kind of money out of his transfer we should have. Funny how we've never really made big money out of a transfer. That is something that needs changing.

You perhaps weren't around in the heady days of the mid to late 1980s but big money (for then) was made out of the transfers of Richard Hill, Trevor Morley, Dean Thomas, Tony Adcock (first transfer away, not the one to the Posh) and various others (Eddie McGoldrick, David Gilbert.......?). Being in the third tier doing well was key except perhaps Adcock and Thomas (when they left they were stand out players in poor sides in decline).
