With Hoskins not involved, Dai's in line for all the (unjust) critisism (again)
Game should have been put beyond doubt first half, with some of the best football played in recent times I thought.
Crooks' miss was criminal.

The three or four Cornell haters are back with outrageous claims The scorer should/would have aimed for the far corner and then in off the post You could not make it up. You are totally correct in yr game summary .

You really have to try better. At least Glastonbury had the decency to admit he was wrong last game. You are making yourself look silly. Merry Christmas False dawn Frank he has reverted to type encouraged by the usual Cornell haters!

most of the squad isn't good enough for a play off challenge. too many players who promise so much and don't deliver and too many who run around a lot to contribute nothing needs about 10 out over the next 2 windows to get around 5/6 in.

If I didn't have a season ticket, I'm really not sure why I would bother to turn up at the moment.

Missed yesterday, travelling to a family party north of Leicester. So heard most of the game on the wireless, apart from the last 5 minutes when the signal finally gave way.
It sounded like first half, 'we owned them' and should have been out of site. 2nd half, well...i called it. You could sense what was going to happen, its been a common theme now for a long time. Couldn't understand the subs either. Why isn't Morais being utilised, at least as a sub? That is so weird. Its 1-1, you want to win the game...Foley, Bridge, Powell all come on, Morais stays on the bench. I don't get that one.
The only positive at the minute is that we are drawing games we really should be winning. In other words, we are under-scoring. Hard to explain but the way I see it is that KC has made us hard to beat, we are slowly making ourselves safe, and it does seem that every lapse/half lapse is being punish. We've basically thrown away 6 points in the last 3 games. BUT I'd be more concerned if we'd 'earned' 3 points aka Exeter away type performances where we got really lucky.
Whilst it is extremely 'boring' at the moment (10 points from 7th, 9 points from 23rd), we'd have all snapped Kieths hand off if he'd offered 15th place and where we are points wise on leaving the game at Mansfield after that 4-0 drubbing. We have to put this all into context.
At least Saturdays game has a bit of an edge to it. We all hate MK, we can at least look at this game as a chance to reduce their own chances of promotion. A 5 match winning run aside, this season looks as if its pretty dead which means the Bristol Rovers game is actually the biggest game coming up for us!

I enjoyed our first half display. there were some great flowing moves which were best I have seen for some time. We should have put the game to bed in the first half.
I have not had a chance to see their goal again but it did look like Dai could have done better.
The Ref had an awful game, It looked like he had a quota for yellows in 2018 and had some catching up to do. At least 50% of his cards were unnecessary. The Yellow card for Van Veen was harsh but at least understandable how he came to that decision. Ash Taylors yellow was criminal, 50/50 where both players made contact with the ball, you could hear the contact on the ball in the top south west when the challenge was in the other half.
He seemed to blow for anything, there was one challenge in the first half where Mcglashan saw Pierre coming and just jumped on the floor causing Pierre to clatter into him.
I have given up hope on the play offs, would like to see 2-3 leave to make room for the youth to be blooded before the start of the next campaign.

Not only that but he let Swindon take the free kicks miles away from the where the incident occurred. Then there was his mysterious change of mind after awarding a penalty. We were all bemused about what he'd given it for but presumably he saw something. It wasn't like he consulted the linesman or anything. I enjoyed the game but this whistle happy ref did his best to spoil it.

Despite the poor result yesterday, the game was at least entertaining.
Yes, we played hoofball down the channels a lot of the time and direct to VV/Williams but the effort all round in closing down and harrying them was plain to see for all. The first half we looked like a decent team.
I thought Dai could have done better with the goal, but it is hardly him losing us two points when we missed at least two sitters and another three or four half chances. Thought defensively we did reasonably well barring a couple of errors and Pierre seems more and more like the player we were expecting when he first came over. Turnbull has been a revelation for me, especially in the middle yesterday. He should be one of the first names on the teamsheet and I would have him sitting alongside McWilliams in the middle.
Crooks flattered to deceive I thought, did some great work with picking out passes or running with the ball but made the wrong decision too many times (Hoskins anyone?). McWilliams seems to be getting back to his old self after injury and Buchs has been surprisingly good after a disaster start to the season. Bowditch has been clever in the last two games, but can he keep it up?
The ref was awful for both teams yesterday. Bowditch escaped an early yellow after going straight through the back of one of their players and Pierre had a nice little kick on McGlashan whilst he was on the floor (I would have done the same) that he got away with. Yellow cards at random and decisions that certainly baffled.
Only problem I see at the minute is we have an expensive bench of players barely involved (Powell, Waters, Morias and Bowditch to an extent) that we would do well to swap for some lower paid "effort" players. I would gladly accept the youngsters we have being here instead of them.
Does Curle not rate Morias? Seems odd that he didn't feature yesterday.

Is it just me, but when ever we play wing backs and a back 3 there always seems to be a massive gap for the opposition on the right of our defence. Facey has been played there but is so poor at the moment, he doesn't justify a place in the team. Is it time to go back to a back 4? the most solid we have looked was with a back 4 with Pierre and Turnbull in the middle of Buchs and A.N.Other, come back Brendan Moloney !!. Although he thought he had a decent game yesterday, when Ash Taylor is in the team, we usually concede.

Cornell got it all wrong again. To have any chance with a left foot strike from that position, Anderson SHOULD need to go low and hard across the keeper and in off the far post. It went straight into the middle of the goal again though.
Presumably Cornell got his angles all wrong, or it went straight through him and beat him for pace (which is what usually happens to Dai) or both.
You only ever come on here nowadays to slate our goalkeeper. No posts about anything else. At least tell us what you think of another one of our better players this season Turnbull. Do you still think this? That tw*t Turnbull can go now, clause or clause. He finished bottom with Coventry and thought he was too good to go down, then turns up here and we get the same result.
I would rather he stayed myself.
