We only started to play when 2 goals down, both of which were gifted by the defence. Facey's headed "clearance" straight to their unmarked striker 8 yards from goal was particularly awful. I'm now starting to wonder whether KC's motivational abilities are any better than our previous managers. Bristol Rovers are nothing special and didn't really create many problems, but they were first to nearly all the loose balls for 65 minutes. Great goal by Crooks, who, like the rest of the team, only started playing after about 65 mins.

No surprise that we were always probably going to revert to type? We are still missing the key elements that we have been for a couple of years. We know it, the players know it and I’ll wager Curlio knows it. Whether he can do anything about it in this window is another thing entirely? Same old mantra, not enough leaders on the pitch, and as a collective talented but mentally weak. I happen to think Curlio has done well considering and is getting the best out of them.
