Nobody played badly today, not even Taylor.
Even fist half with a good block on Hoskins shot and a good diving save on the A Williams effort. Dave Cornell made some good routine saves but also one excellent one handed save from a volley to keep it all square at the break. Second half was mostly ours with the odd break away from Carlise. Turnbull, Pierre and Williams dealt with these comfortably. Facey had a much better game and Cox had a very good debut. Foley was his combatant self and McWilliams had a steady game and only tired slightly towards the end. Bridge had been building up to this performance and fully deserved his MOTM. Morias and Powell looked lively when they came on with Morias taking his goal well. A good team performance and a positive reaction today from the sale and loaning of a few players. Looked like we had some breathing space.
