Keith Curle takes on his former club Carlisle United at Sixfields this Saturday, with the Cobblers looking to avoid going seven games without a win in all competitions.
New signing George Cox looks likely to make his debut. John-Joe O'Toole remains sidelined with injury whilst Lewis Ward and Shaun McWilliams are doubts.
Carlisle are fifth in the league but could go second on Saturday with a win at Sixfields, if other results go their way. Carlisle have won their last six consecutive league games, including a 6-0 drubbing of Oldham Athletic on Boxing Day and a 4-0 win over promotion contenders Colchester United last month.

I'd go with bribing the ref.

It is getting to that point isn’t it?! The only scrap of hope I’m clinging to is that all runs (good and bad) have to come to an end at some point and KC will have in depth knowledge of their lineup - whether that will be anyway near enough is another matter.

Well they've not only just lost their manager ( a strange move to leave a high flying L2 club for a lowly Conference club, even if it is close to your home), but they've also just lost one of their better strikers Nadesan, who's gone back to Fleetwood, and in his place have signed a very tall, young, 18yr old CF from Preston, yet to debut anywhwere but non-league. Carlisle should be there for the taking.

Only things for certain are it will be freezing, FORWAAARD will be shouted and Hoskins or Cornell will cop some stick after the game.
I'm not hopeful at all about this one, but looking forward to seeing George Cox in action.

Let's face it ....with the Cobblers track record ; I'd be more worried if Carlisle had lost their last 6 or so games.
We will win this !

Can't wait for the pre season games to begin. They hold a lot more interest than our next 20 dead rubber league games. Just hoping we get to play some promotion/ play off seeking teams at the end of the season so we can spoil a party or 2. A few beers at Cambs, stevenage Grimsby and lincs away?? And that is whats left from the ruins of the most boring season ever in our clubs history.

It won’t be the team he’ll go with in a million years though!

Fair play to you and your optimism Beds, I think we can and will get sucked into a relegation battle.

This side lacks pace though to service the front players . I would go Cornell Pierre. Taylor. Turnbull Odoffin. Cox McWilliams. Foley Crooks Williams. Morias

Pick 11 names out a hat. It's the only way you might match his team selection.

It's been over a year since we last scored 3 or more in a home match. We're certainly due it!
