Taylor should definitely have done better imo.

Sammo said as much - but then promptly criticized other defenders for not helping out.

He was, but there was very little competition...

And therein lay the problem. Embarrassed

You are quite right as both commentators had more than a pop at Hoskins who clearly was having an infuriating afternoon. They were both having trouble finding suitable adjectives to suit their frustration. Both unhappy with Morais substitution and even Morgan Roberts came in for negative comments. In his summary after the game Sammo seem to suggest that Hoskins was our most effective forward Roll Eyes
Hoskins was definitely the most effective forward and should have continued to play there.
He was causing problems to them .
Morgan Roberts just looked lost at left back - Buchanan must have been seriously p*ssed off .
As for Powell - when his contract is up he will never play pro football again . He is the wettest footballer we have had . Built like an athlete and acts like a snowflake .

I think we’re all in agreement about Powell but he will have no trouble finding another club - football is an incestuous merry-go-round where crap managers keep getting jobs and crap footballers keep getting given chances by managers who think they can use their genius to get the best out of them.  On Morgan Roberts I don’t know if I’m mistaken but I thought he came on at left midfield or wing - I suppose he could have been wing back but he definitely wasn’t left back?

Daniel Powell can piss off. Such a lack of effort and just going through the motions. Same with Andy Williams on Saturday - Not usually his style though.

I don't think anyone hates Hoskins, that's ridiculous, no one can fault his effort, hes just not good enough.

Maybe , but I don’t think he will be released all the same .
In fact I think he will be offered renewed terms .
Just my opinion

Morgan Roberts - left back? He didn't go any further back from the half way line to their byline in his 10 min cameo!

Every game I have seen Morgan play is as an attacking midfielder and a VERY talented one at that!

I certainly don't hate him. Along with the little group I sit with we've got plenty of humour at his expense going on throughout the season.

I can certainly agree with you on this. The bloke is built like Pierre yet gets consistently out-muscled and you could count the amount of headers he has won on one hand.

There are quite a few on here who have expressed abusive  views on Hoskins. Two members regularly promote anti Hoskin views on a daily basis.

That sums up Hoskins perfectly, I wish him well at another club, probably best for him and NTFC.

Opinions on Hoskins or any player for that matter if expressed sensibly and truthfully can do no harm. Shouting vile abuse at them during a game is counter productive and unneeded. I get the impression that a small minority of our fans only leave the game happy if they have been able to verbally abuse someone during it.
