Although I'm sure 99% of us being genuine supporters, views here are typically polarized and once people get into an argument they selectively use the facts that suit and ignore others (somewhat like the Brexit discussions)
Well I've broadly supported the owners and administration of NTFC until now - based on, I still have a football club to support, I really do not know (or have any entitlement to know) the facts - and even if I did, there is truthfully very little I can (or have the time or resources) to do anything about it.
Whilst I still don't subscribe to some of the dialog used by the anti KT lobby I now have to concede the basic principles they reference are most likely correct - I defend my right not to be cynical about everything and still prefer an optimistic approach to life but the reality seems NTFC are currently in a very bad place.
I have no answers but now also believe we can only hope for a new owner in whatever form that truly takes the club forward because currently we are not even treading water.

Welcome CW to the club You are just more reasonable and patient than some of us others, we simply came to the same conclusion as you did today, many many months ago. I know my frustrations were greater due to the previous 5 years and stated (and got slated) for saying that there was very little difference between DC & KT in regards their ambitions and focus for our football club. What we can do is try to value the power that us as supporters and the people of Northampton have, look at how clubs like Lincoln, Exeter and Wrexham have grown their attendances, mainly through a sense of togetherness and community. I believe that is a strong cause and could be an attractive partnership to LOCAL investors and businessmen. WE HAVE TO BELIEVE, put your optimistic beliefs into something positive re NTFC rather than just a wait and see approach

There is a fear. A real fear. The owners of NTFC are now degrading the club.

What are you on about? If they are trying to sell and achieve the highest price well let's degrade it that should work.

Never understand why anyone would want to run a lower league football team.

Love, passion and ideally money to burn. For any other reason is borderline insanity.

Never understand why anyone would want to run a lower league football team.
There's a big difference between leagues 2 and 1 in terms of financial rewards through income streams, gates, size of competing clubs, quality of football and player ability. So talking of 'lower league could only refer to the dross that is now league 2 that is top heavy on traditional little non league clubs now establishing themselves in the football league . So asking why would anyone run a lower league 2 club, you need to establish the limitations of the club as well as the maximum potential also. The answer is if you take over at a well established, respected league club with a vast catchment, you are just 7 months away from doubling your income with a single promotion. Sadly for nearly 20 years weve spent 16 years rotting away in the bottom division due to us being used primarily to aquire land deals from Sixfields community stadiums and its surrounding lands. Running a competitive league 1 club with a 300,000 catchment playing in a stadium with modern attractive infrastructure in which to maximise its potential to the full would be a very attractive oppertunity to the right people. Unfortunately Thomas and co haven't shown a single thing to suggest they should even be at our club.

Perhaps Terry is right all you have done is voiced an opinion. Becareful who you chose as bedfellows as some of the Redev Chaps have some far out opinions coupled with ego's to match. However they all lack one thing: Money!

Apologies. My mistake. I always thought to degrade someone or something was a deliberate act.

That cant be right - of course its done on purpose or at the very least aimed at achieving the desired result.
