Powell was as bad as he usually is and another of Curle's mysteries as to why he persists with him on the bench.

I thought we played reasonably well first half, and Sordell's miss at 0-0 was a key moment.

Very poor goal conceded from a set play, but we were well in the game at half time.

Second half was worrying in so far as we completely capitulated after the second goal. Having taken the sucker punch of missing a 1 on 1 and then conceding a second a minute later, we should have managed the game much better, and taken it in to the last 20 at 0-2 with all still to play for.

Instead for some reason heads dropped and we seemed to go gung ho and leave gaps everywhere for Col U walk through.

Our defenders don't seem sharp enough for zonal marking, how many times does one of the opposition find themselves unmarked in the 6 yard box. Ditch the 5 and zonal marking we should make progress, but alas it appears Curle is too stubborn

Powell deserves the criticism he gets . The man has some talent and has all the physical attributes you need to be successful .
Sadly , he has a football brain the size of a pea , the bravery of a barbie doll in a war zone and the confidence of Gemma Collins on an ice rink.
I would have Hoskins over him any day . It’s a pity we can’t do a gene merge of the two - Powell’s physical attributes and Hoskin’s desire !

Then again, win on Tuesday (a prospect requiring some optimism at the present time) and the gap is 10 points and everyone can settle down a bit.

As a fan base we do seem to quickly escalate a situation to crisis quickly, and “that lot in there” seem to lack the mental toughness to handle a crowd on the turn. We basically need a point a game from now to the end of the season. That’s relegation form required.... to stay up.

Surely we can all be a bit more optimistic and believe we have enough to do that.

If we were to go on a run where we lost the next five straight.... well then I would really  start to worry.

If I remember some years ago I was in receipt of some particularly nasty comments from you.  Your comment is typical of a morose and unhappy person and your unwelcome comment is nothing but a provocative snipe. Patmore deserves plaudits for his recent posts and many on here would do well to heed

99% of fans would have Hoskins over Powell I would say .

I know said Poster from old and in my opinion it was a provocative snipe; hence his interpretation. If he decided to criticize my post he could have done it differently not with a caustic cryptic post.

On another note; Patmore please accept my apologies if my post to you has been interpretated as patronising. I did not intentionally or otherwise mean to mislead you or others on here!
