Decision day is Bank Holiday Monday May 6th, just a matter of hours after the awards dinner. This will be for all players whether under contract or not. KC isn't hanging around. At least players will know where they stand.

Pierre for me, as one I'd want to stay. Another, Turnbull.

Would actively be looking to move on some that are under contract, I would like to see us go for a smaller number but better quality of senior pro, with more of the young lads on the bench.

Wouldn’t KC be playing a bit of a dangerous game if he decides to list some of the players who still have 1/2 years left? Doesn’t it run the risk of no one being interested - especially if they are still on decent money - and us having to reintegrate them back into the squad? Also a factor that maybe hasn’t been taken into account is what if any out of contract players are offered new terms but they don’t want to stay.

Chris Wilder transfer listed JJOT in the summer before we won the title. Then he became a regular following an injury to Jason Taylor (?) and the rest is history.

I wouldn’t be upset if any of the players wanted to go . Clear out anyone that doesn’t want to be here . Not one player is irreplaceable in this squad and I couldn’t care less who went - including the handful of player of the year candidates .

Think you will have some players that want to leave for their own reasons, but you also have players wanting to leave because they do not feel wanted. It's a shame when good players, who are not part of KC's plans, feel they have to leave to get a game elsewhere. I agree about the rest. KC is already pushing some of these towards the exit with his recent team omissions.

Over the last month we've seen that D.Powell and Bowditch can both play a bit, but we've seen very little of this in the previous 1 year and 9 months since they've been here, which I hope KC remembers when he's giving out contracts. If he wants to keep them, offer them a 3 month rolling contract to keep them on their toes

Totally agree. Release them both as their contributions over the past two seasons has been woeful.

Thirded, but it looks inevitable that Powell will get offered another contract at which point he’ll disappear for the best part of another year or two.

To be honest , if a player is sidelined at the minute he probably isn’t good enough for whatever reason - the youngsters excluded ( including Sean McWilliams ) . Nobody has ripped it up this season at all .

Unfortunately for you most of our managers disagree with you and pick him! So its you and a few others who disagree with the Managers. My logic (admittedly not as benign as yours) , is that there must be a reason why this consistently happens. Or is that we have some enlightened experts who know better. On a side issue I would definitely retain Lord JJOT if only for past services. I just cannot bring myself to join some who have washed their hands of him. Hope he is offered at least 12 month contract after all he is younger than AWilliams.

Agree about JJOT because everyone's entitled to a bad season. No saying he won't be back on it next season. Doesn't look likely though that he will be offered anything.

It's a tough one with JJOT. He's one of my favourite ever players and was a colossus in our promotion season but he's been poor this year. It would be a g@mble to offer him a new contract as it's difficult to tell if this year has been a blip caused by a succession of niggly injuries or if his legs have just gone. Either way, there's been a few times in his last few home appearances where he just hasn't appeared to be able to run! If budget was no issue, I'd offer him something in the hope he'd be back to the player we know he can be next year. It is though, isn't it....?
