I too checked the highlights - the strike was well inside the 18yd box! It was not dead centre but crossed the goal line well to right of centre. For once you are allowing your personal prejudices cloud your opinion.

Correct, it was hit from the middle of the goal but went into the corner.
Just watched it again, in case I was going mad, and I would say that only absolutely top level keepers would have had a chance of saving it.
Your all wrong, I’ve just watched it again on my iPhone and it appears to be an own goal from Hoskins into the top left corner?

Was at Lincoln yesterday and approached with caution but left with a wry smile and a well earned and deserved point, we could have won it but so could they. Thought it was a defo penalty from where we were on JJ but some you win some you don’t. I was surprised and disappointed by the play acting and diving (cheating!) that Lincoln displayed from the kick off, they don’t need to stoop to that as they are a better team than that, why don’t refs clamp down on it? I thought Pierre was immense, especially against Akinde, he even broke through a couple of times, he could convert to our new no.9, Akinde esq, how we could do with an old fashioned, strong and uncompromising target man. It was a hard won point and a good team effort, sadly I think Powell is a lost cause, contributes next to nothing and Facey blows hot and cold, Bridge and Turnbull looking good.

On reflection I must admit that the circle I saw in the top corner may have been the screen buffering, it was hard to tell?

On a separate note, again my iPhone doesn’t give me the best perspective but would it be true to say that Lincoln’s ground looks like a collection of cow sheds, no pun regarding the Cowleys intended? I don’t want to start any controversy when I say this, but Sixfields I know has its issues. However, it did look crap?

A big stand built where the big terrace used to be down the side, and the Stacey West stand behind the goal is comparable to our end stands, although we don’t have any pillars blocking the view. The other end of their ground has a few seats in front of boxes, which leaves the other side and it’s strange quirky stand and a new family ‘stsnd’. It is a bit of a mishmash but at least it holds 10k....and they do get close to filling it often!

Don't worry 1971. A select few individuals on here have a hobby of blaming our goalkeeper for every goal we concede irrespective of reality or physical possibility. The ball was quite clearly within a foot of the post as it crossed the line and hit the net right in the corner. No chance for the keeper. Crap defending particularly from Facey for allowing his man to wander off free as a bird to get his shot off. Only Goode could be bothered to close their player down to try and block the shot.

The goalkeeper is only the last line of defence...what about the 10 players in front of him?
I can’t believe Cornell gets so much stick, he’s an average League 2 keeper in an average League 2 side.

Facey ?? Pierre let Akinde have a free header and Goode was too slow to close . It’s as simple as that . Cornell had little chance as it was lashed into the corner of the goal . Other than that , the defence played well but were fortunate not to concede a penalty . There was a good shout against Pierre in the first half as well for pushing which could have been given . Cornell’s kicking from free kicks is the only thing you can criticise him for - and they are appalling

Yes, Facey! he was marking the player that scored but just let him run off unhindered....and it was Turnbull who let Akinde get a free header
