But for f***s sake, at home and winning against a side below us with 45 minutes left, i expect us to at least give it a go. We've done very well to escape with a draw today and that is truly discouraging. Play some sort of actual football? Tell you what Ian, i'm no tactical genius and have no knowledge of our upcoming opponents but is it too difficult for us to pass it a bit? We'll string 3 5 yard passes together before someone just aimlessly hoofs it anywhere they can see. f***ing stupid. That team should've won today easily. Baulked up the midfield as suggested then we get completely buttf***ed because we cant keep it down. Leon and Harrad must wonder what they're doing here with completely s*** service, i know we have a reputation of not being able to play our strikers properly but this is the worst case of not playing to their strengths and it's absolutely criminal that almost 7 months into the season we still cannot rectify it. Like i said, i'm sick to death of us just giving up and grinding out a win/accepting a draw with 30 minutes left to play, while this is our plan we are going nowhere. Laurent wasn't too bad i thought, at least he actually showed some desire, if his decision making can sometimes be suspect. Not sure what Harrad went for as didnt see, i thought stamping? The disclipline is shocking, is that 7 or 8 red cards now by February? Andy Holt - for someone who 'gives his all' and is meant to be some sort of leader, was an absolute embarresment today. What a complete and utter waste of space today. Dogs***. I didnt leave today feeling disappointed, i left feeling that this sort of s*** is the norm and thats the most frustrating thing. Wouldn't completely surprise me to see Sammo go soon

We aren't going to win every game, true. Though the booes seem to suggest it's the only option if the team wants some support. Some of our fans are a disgrace. I overhead someone, who every game bemoans everything and praises nothing, asking why the team seemed to be lacking in confidence... Maybe he needs a mirror.

Must admit having been to the last couple of games it does seem to me something is wrong, I don't know if it's Sammo's shadow as a club legend with the team knowing that despite a bad result or three he won't be losing his job. Yes I guess you could blame the weather, the referee, the pitch or lack of atmosphere It just seems to me that there is no urgency to get out & we sit to deep & allow teams to get at us but fair play to away managers they come for a point at best & if it means parking the bus then it's up to us to break them down. I don't know what the answer is but until it's mathematically impossible to make the play off's we can only hope a run of form begins soon.

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

Laurent was not fit. Why isn't it he fit by now?
Mckay is the only forward that can actually hold the ball up. Mckenzie and Harrod are goal scorers, but their game outstide the box is not good enough.

Even if we DID magically make the play-offs, we'd only f*** them up anyway.

I don't see that, it appears to me that teams come to Sixfields looking for all three points. Aldershot weren't defensive, Morcambe scored 3 times and even Barnet didn't sit back.

I don't understand this "we are trying to play" philosophy as I think since Harrad came in (Crewe apart) we play lovely little passes at the back and then a long ball downfield. Why is this? I'm not blaming Harrad for this and actually feel really sorry for him he must be regretting his decision to come here. That said from what I think I saw for his sending off...................what a twat. I have not been to many away games this season as the 4 - 1 at Barnet was a bit of a sickener, at this rate I won't be wanting to go to home games either.

This is very true, personally speaking ive never considered the Cobblers for the playoffs this season, we've merely just been a run of the mill League 2 side far too inconsistent and too few wins on the road to stand a serious chance. I personally would rather we continued in the current vain instead of sneeking into the final playoff spot at the last minute only to go out with a whimper when the playoffs got to the crunch, we just havent got what it takes this season, it seems to be more of a mental issue than actual abililty on the pitch. For me, being let down in the playoffs would be a much more bitter pill to swallow than just finishing the season as distinctively average. It's all about next season now, which looks like being half a new team to consider and debate if we'll be good enough for this, that and the other - same old drill, different season.

Sadly, I suspect this isn't too far from the truth.
