Great result, real shame we were so ulterly negative in those couple of home game. Imagine had we been 4 points better off now as those games were there for the taking.

Onwards to tueday night and 3 more points.

Watching the results coming in only Carlisle and Colchester won directly above us.

The gap is 8 points which is tough but you never know..

Splendid performance against a rather lightweight and ineffectual Exeter side. Never thought we'd do amything other than win as soon as we got the first goal.

Charlie Goode is looking like a very good acquisition.

Agreed Goode is looking very solid indeed.
Their goal was another Ash Taylor mistake, although apart from that he played OK.
Exeter were v poor, no way are they going anywhere, took off their best player Nicky Law and faded badly.

I’ve been very critical of KC but fair play to him for the recent results. I thought we looked a solid if unspectacular league two side today. It was probably a bigger job to turn this squad around than I initially thought

A thoroughly professional and committed performance - every player played their part and we made a playoff chasing side look poor. On a side note it just shows, as we found when we lost Holmes, how damaging it can be at this level when your best player gets poached - without Stockley they are a shadow of the team they were.

You did well to spot that - were you in the away end?

Defence again played well as a unit with JJOT showing distinct flashes of his former self. Surprised that only 4500+ home fans turned up especially after the last 2/3 away games! Still it was cold and an early KO.
Its a pity that we could not add to the 2 we scored; never felt we were in any real danger even in the last ten minutes. Some strange Referee decisions notwithstanding missing their goal keeper fracas! Midfield looked solid if a little unspectacular at times. Turnbull when he pressed forward looked good. Don't disagree with Taylor being MOM - thought he played well. As for the forwards for me still undecided on Soufle but Andy Williams added some need urgency up front and took his goal well. Simple 3 points really; they played some good stuff where it did not matter but in any case they did not have the forwards to do much damage!
Score line should have been at least 3-1 so they got away with it.

Hoskins Playing very deep it seemed - great! Pierre, brilliant, Foley and JJOT also great...should have been 3-1 against the mouthy but rather insignificant Exeter contingent!

A really good game of soccer, one of the most pleasing games I've cone away from seeing at sixyfields in a while, we were well organised and everyone was working hard for each other to make sure we kept them out,

Well done to Keith, the lads and the fans were good again today too. Brilliant stuff!
