Haha I will eat my words, but the bloke is incredibly lucky!
I think it’s becoming apparent a few of us might be doing that at the end of the season Glas? As far as I was concerned Taylor shouldn’t be anywhere near the side and Curlio was neolithically incompetent for moving Turnbull into midfield. Happy to retract both, note to self, don’t give up the day job.

Need a goal and Williams taken off 🙈🙈🙈
Williams was poor (admittedly tough role, alone tonight) When I saw Bridge on the touchline I called it would be for Willow, so Bridge could go left and Powell up top. Wasn't that bizarre a sub, and didn't warrant the crowd reaction.

Yes it did it was a terrible decision, Curle would be taking some sh1t now if we’d lost that game. Powell’s strike was sublime. I’ll take the win but I don’t get Curle obvious dislike for Williams or Moaris IMO 2 very capable strikers at this level.

Agree entirely, it was a crazy decision and he's got away with it tonight. Willo is always likely to get a goal while he's on the pitch. I really hope we don't have a boothroyd / bayo play off final situation going into to the final part of the season as it will cost us at some point if Curle becomes that stubborn. Onto the next game and 3 more points please!

A fairly tepid, uninspiring game with both teams not really at the races, decided by a moment of real quality from Powell. He's very lightweight at the moment but now he's growing in confidence he's starting to look more of a player than the lost, nervous kid he looked like on his debut.

Dreadful game settled by a stunning goal! Play offs? Hmm not on that showing tonight for me.

The only thing I would say to that, is this league is poor this year. Look at Lincoln, but if physicality and a bit of guile. We're in the hunt now, but game by game.

Good Evening!
Jeez my feet are cold!
It’s great when you get a late winner isn’t it?
We all know both the joy and the pain of that happening. I thought you edged it overall but while still 0-0 there’s always the chance of nicking it. We battled hard without really creating much, the one decent shot of the game won it, as it should be.
Definitely a penalty first half, and Joe made several crucial saves... can’t recall your keeper taking his hands out of his pockets!
Good luck in your quest for the play offs.

Tepid and uninspiring? Possibly the reason why there were fewer than 4000 home fans present for only the second time in four years. The sign of a good side though...play bang average football and keep winning?! Roll on Saturday when we are on the road again!

Poor game, lacking entertainment and quality until Powell's stunning strike. A massive 3 points that does put us in the shake-up. People go on about Sixfields night matches, buzzing under lights and all that. Nah, not for me, crowd size always lower and usually quieter. Yes we've had some good 'uns but give me a Saturday afternoon all the time.

I also thought that Williams was poor and his substitution was no surprise to me. Wilder was a lucky manager and hope KC follows in his footsteps! I like lucky Managers - it generally means success! I think I follow your drift on Bridge etc. I assumed big Sam would go up front!

Wilder was a lucky manager
Utter rubbish Cecil. Hes one of the greatest Managers in the game. Look where he got us and Sheff Utd.

It is amazing how two faced fans can be (and I include myself in that). Managers are employed to get results and that is the main criteria they are judged on. So VERY well done Mr Curle.
Yet we still want more!
The defence is very effective. The midfield are combative but lack guile to supply the attackers with quality opportunities with any consistancy. The attackers I find hard to judge with the way we play and the lack of them played.
So in conclusion keep getting the points KC, well done!

A game of 2 half's, seemed to be attacking and pressing first half but dropped off in the second,
Surprised he took Asamoah off and brought Brett on as I thought Derek was a handful, delighted to get a clean sheet though.
Well done to Keith and the boys again.

Agree 100% There is no way Wilder would have made that change last night in fact Wilder would have had a 2nd forward on the bench and he would have been on the pitch. Anyway none of that matters we have got 3 points

I don't think it helps that the wise old elves of the football league decided that longer journeys make for better Tuesday night games. Newport home on a Tuesday night instead of Cambridge at home apparently makes more sense to them.
