After an excellent return of 7 points from 9, attention moves onto the Jonny Rocks Stadium. Cheltenham is a really good away day due to the large number of good pubs. It's also not too far so hopefully should see a decent following. I think we need to win this one to keep the play off dreams alive. My group are setting off at a disgustingly early time Should be a fine day. Pub recommendations include the excellent Kemble Brewery, The Bottle of Sauce, Copa of Cheltenham, and The Firestation.

You were missed yesterday Dan, the noise from our end seemed a bit flat. Some may blame the game but I believe that you being AWOL was the major factor.

I have some good memories of Cheltenham. The old away terrace, with the burger van just behind the goal, pumping out smoke, Jamie Forrester making his debut as a sub, Sammo scoring a thumping header, which rebounded off of the inner bar, and the ref waving play on. And whilst we were all in the Wetherspoons at Evesham, Steve Riches turning up, showing everybody the new set of crockery that he had just purchased at Evesham Market. I like Cheltnum, its a good day out. Its a shame that I cant make it this time this time.

Our last 13 games against these pikeys are: Lost 6, Drawn 4 and won 3. The only win there was that Playoff game where Gutts scored that screamer.(2013) Prediction 1-1, however I do have a very bad feeling..

For goodness sake Doc we are NOT going down you heard it here 1st (I damn well hope that does not come back to haunt me)

Stevenage was good with two singing groups in contention. Grimsby started ok but faded a little in the second half. Dan was missed but one of his pals was there in his summer kit complete with shorts! What I did miss was the list of Pubs normally detailed by Coolie - very poor form by said. ‘Fan’.

I’m assuming that Waters won’t be allowed to play against his parent club?

Why not
Its a pretty standard clause that's put into put into 90% + of loans. Its very rare a parent club would allow a loan player to play against them.

From Cheltenham's local rag...
Will Boyle will now serve a one-match suspension, with manager Michael Duff likely to either reinstate Jordon Forster to the defence, or play Cameron Pring at left wing-back and move Chris Hussey into the back three. Club captain Johnny Mullins, who has not been included in the 18-man squad in recent weeks, is another option. Duff will also be without on-loan striker Billy Waters next Saturday, with the front man ineligible against parent club Northampton Town, so Tyrone Barnett and Rakish Bingham will both be hoping for a recall to the starting XI alongside leading scorer Luke Varney.

I think the defensive 7 pick themselves with their recent performances. The selection consideration is the creating and attacking options as we have misfired for most of the season. Instead of Powell, Hoskins, O'Toole and Williams I would be more adventurous by selecting players who are comfortable with the ball at their feet AND look up! Therefore Bridge, Roberts, Sordell and Williams would be my positive starting choice.
We might even see a bit of football breakout and score more than two goals in a game!!!

Will be interesting to see if Powell keeps his spot, I think we may see Hoskins and Bridge as the wide players.
If Sordell is fit he will certainly be picked ahead of Williams.
I agree that keeper, defense and central midfield should remain unchanged now, as we have been reasonably successful with these since switching to 4-4-2. It's a shame it means that Jay Williams is not getting more game time but at least he should improve training with the first team and coming off the bench if needed whilst he fills out a bit.
I would be tempted to try McWilliams out wide again, he did okay at right back and can pick a pass when he wants to.
Hopefully the run continues!

can't see KFC changing it much - the system or the players.
the back 7 will be the same
i would think JJOT and sordell will be first choice too
sadly we are then relying on hoskins and powell to create something

And there lies the problem, Powell looks unfit and low on confidence and as for Hoskins he's not even a footballer he just runs and runs and runs and runs.
