I’m 54 years old. I’m past the stage now where my weekend moods are determined by whether or not the Cobblers win or not. I want to be entertained.

Times I’ve said of the opposition - I’m glad we don’t have to pay to watch that every week. Well.... now I’m saying it of us.

I’ve had a season ticket for probably 40 years. But sorry - no more !!!

Bored, bored bored.

50 minutes against 10 men without making their keeper make a save? Pathetic.

Taking off the only striker putting in a shift? Pathetic.

I’m done !!!

Its like watching the dark days of Boothroyd, or Jimmy Floyd piggybank again.

I gave up last season, had tickets for me and my three kids, and after last season nobody was really bothered about renewing. How glad am I that we made that decision?!

Still go to away games, more of a day out, but watching dross at a soulless stadium every other week takes its toll.

Anyone who renews for next season...hats off to you!!! But with Curle in charge, and cutbacks to be expected after thew latest set of accounts, I don't think entertainment will be high next season wither!

This is how I've felt for 18 months, and why I started the season ticket thread a few weeks ago. I also will not be renewing next year and a good percentage of my mates also will not be.

I seen a lot better. I’ve seen a lot worse. I’ll be renewing mine. Until they don’t exist they’re stuck with me, through thick and thin.

Likewise, but days like today make me question my sanity.

Have you really seen a worse 45 minutes, bearing in mind they had ten men?

Until they don't exist or you don't exist?

Me too, I'll renew along with my two sons - if they want to of course. What else would I do on a Saturday afternoon? Shopping with the missus, no thanks.

I renewed mine in the week...

Still good value for the North Stand & we're still the only stand to have had proper new seats!  Grin

Yes today was poor but much rather KC see what spineless players we currently have now so he can release/try to sell in the Summer...these same players have underperformed for far too long.

Going to the footie is a release for most fans & I couldn't imagine binning it off cos we're s***e...

Just nown again we have a decent season which makes up for all the dross.

This is what supporting a lower league club is all about surely?!

Couple of other points to put in the mix, was not yesterday a classic case of the problems that the Cobblers have had all season even during their recent unbeaten run namely that they do not put enough of their chances away and as a result they lose game momentum and the opposition come back into it and get a draw or force a win like Vale did yesterday. We have no scorer in the top twenty five scorers in League 2. Whenever Turnbull does not play we don't get as good results as when he is dropped or out injured. Hope Curle does not get blinded in the remaining games by players who might in the short term up the ante and perform for a contract for next season, he should look at the wider picture over his whole time so far at the Cobblers and sort out some of the dross we have picked up over the last three seasons. It says something that in the short term Curle has achieved more results wise than his four predecessors did. We are currently  lacking creativity in midfield, decent wingers and someone who can act as a target man.

I'll renew. Going to the Cobblers is what I do and Northampton is where I'm from. Everybody knows me as a Cobbler. I work in Banbury and I'm proud that my colleagues know I follow a usually sh*te team that has one good season in about ten. I just hope for some entertainment and action. The football doesn't have to be "good" but I want something to shout and cheer about most weeks. Wins and success are just a bonus. We've never built on any success mores the pity but I'll  carry on regardless.

And therein lies the problem Wadey. I'm a die hard. I've defended my team for years. I'm a Northamptonian through and through. Born and bred. I too want something to shout and cheer about. But on Saturday I realised at the end of the game that I'd spent more time looking to see how my acca was going on Skybet than watching the game !!

I pay £24 on a match day, I would never begrudge my football club a few pound as without a large club house to purchase food and drinks before hand / half time and post match, the club has so few ways of generating income.
I dont buy a season ticket as it could be seen as an endorsement to those guilty of the poor showing by the club in building up its infrastructure.
Must admit the best seats in the house on Saturday was that little group perched high on the hill, basking in glorious sunshine.

I came home on Saturday with a very long face. Then my eldest informed me that Exeter and Fleetwood had lost; win the next 5 games and we are there! After watching that display I was unable to share his enthusiasm The point being never say it cant be done!.
