Can honestly say that me going to this has absolutely nothing to do with the football team  Grin simply the outstanding city. Canal house is a superb boozer and certainly will be visited. We touch down at 9.30. Can't wait.
The good thing about Nottingham...is not having to go to Mansfield!  Grin

Play the kids - nothing to lose - at least they will be interested and play for the badge, we may get hammered but better playing those that are interested!

Grin Grin Grin

Such a funny reaction on here. Each to their own. I just don't understand because basically 90% of the team won't be here next season and we have literally nothing to play for.

For 93% of fans its a day out on the lash with their mates,  around a game of football in a decent city.  I suspect there is a reason u dont understand.

Always go to this game but have decided to give it a miss. After the dismal pefomances against Cheltenham and Vale I cant wait for the season to end and cannot afford to waste £50 or so on a day out to see the likes of Powell, Hoskins,Sordell.

it may well have been Peter Marinello, who was called the 'new George Best', but I'm pretty certain its a tag that has been put on a number of players over the years.  Was it not also applied to Liam Brady in his early days?  In any case all a bit daft because I'm sure we will all agree that there could never be another George Best anyway.  He was simply brilliant - including the 6 he scored past us.  Believe it or not I was in a school pantomime or play on the afternoon of that game but my father decided to go to the game rather than come to the school to watch my performance.  I was devastated at the time, but now older and more reflective I'm sure he made the right choice!  As regards pubs for tomorrow, could do with some advice please - I seem to recall there is a very unusual pub built in the rock under the Castle which claims to be the oldest pub in the country (along with others I've no doubt).  I think it is or was called 'The Trip to Jerusalem'.  Does anyone know of it - is it still there, is it worth a quick visit??

Very true about George Best. On to pubs, I sound like Coolcat here  Grin. yes the Trip to Jerusalem is still there and there are a couple of good pubs near the station, the Canalhouse and the one next door which I think is called the Fellows, Clayton & Morton.

If you want to go to the game, for any reason, then go along.

If you don't want to go to the game, for any reason, don't go.

Which ever choice you make, doesn't require the berating of someone who makes the opposite choice.

I hope everyone enjoys themselves whatever they do on Saturday afternoon (except the Notts C fans  Grin)

....exactly, I really have never understood why people want to make an argument about to go or not to go

No one is making an argument about going...one sheltered idiot comes onto the away thread every time with the same mantra... Don't understand why... followed by the same clueless drivel!

Parklands has perfectly said why he doesn't want to go this time...for others so clueless as to what an away day can be about...Alfred has addressed to a tee!

If we can be bothered that is...

It seems quite a few are bothered with only 8 tickets left of our allocation , as at 1.45pm.
