Friday afternoons game is a good opportunity to blood 2 or 3 younger players.

I suggest;

                               Cornell

              Williams J., Turnbull, Pierre,
Goode,                                                     Cox,

                McWilliams, Foley, Roberts

                          Williams, Morias

The next 4 games are a great opportunity to see what stage they are at in their development.

Yeah, let's just drop MOTM Pollock after his superb full debut shall we?  Roll Eyes

I would play him in the Monday game at 2nd in the table Bury after his performance against the then 2nd in the table Mansfield.

With respect Boring, Goode is not a wing back and what is the point of playing Cox? Send the loan players back except Goode and play our own players. Give Pollock another start in midfield and have some more on the bench (Roberts, Williams, Hughes). We owe it to the other teams battling against relegation to play a competitive team and not to select 3 or 4 youngsters together.

I would play a loan player if he intends to try and sign them next season.

If it benefits NTFC for next season I would not 'owe it to other teams'.

Goode is the only decent loan player, I haven't seen enough of Cox to make a judgement.

We do owe it to other teams. If we were down there, like we have been in the past you hope teams play their strongest team plus the integrity of the league is at stake.

Cox must be a potential permanent signing over the summer as I can't think of any other reason why he'd be here now.

Whose to say some of the kids might not do a better job than than the senior pros who have been showing next to nothing all season, Pollock was man of the match last time.

Some on here moaned at KC for playing Hughes at Cheltenham if I remember rightly. I agree it would be nice to see them play but KC will know when the best time is to introduce them.

Good post TP. Lets face with a lot of them on here KC can't win. IE Play youngsters we lose they moan (shouldn't have played them in that match)

I'd probably go with:

                   Cornell

        Goode J.Williams Pierre

Facey                                   Cox

       Pollock McWilliams Foley

                Roberts

                             Morias

Subs: Lashley, Hughes, Powell, Hoskins, Williams, JJOT, Buchs

I think Cox will play even if he isn’t here next year because it’s the formation and type of player he wants to go forward with . If it’s not Cox next season it will be someone similar .
Who knows who else he will play but we may have seen the last of some individuals I think unless there are injuries in the last few games .

Crooks with a hatrick that night in Macclesfield. Interestingly, scored for Rotherham last Saturday, at one of Macc's closest clubs, Stoke City!

Apparently the old Lotto shirts are to be honoured in the next home kit.

That 97 Lotto was the best ever! Gave mine to the bar owner of the Torino FC supporters bar in Florence back in 98 (missing Stoke City, first game!). NTFC pennant adorned the entrance, with other clubs pennants.

To be fair we still had a chance of the playoffs before Cheltenham.....now we're on a 5 game winless streak, going neither up or down.....games are almost meaningless, so why not give it a bit of meaning by blooding youngsters to see if they can hack it.......if you can't do it when the team is in this position when can you do it?

A draw in this match (likely result) will result in us equalling a club record of 19 league draws in a season.
