Has anybody EVER seen a worse tactic than when we had a corner Macc put 2 men on the touchline of halfway line and we had 1 defender on the centre spot. If Macc had been any good they only had to clear our corner and they were 2 on 1 on our goal. That really is schoolboy stuff Mr Curle

He's prepared to take a risk. Why don't you just applaud the manager for going for it. He just can't win can he

Do Curle and his coaching team observe tactics during the game? Hoof ball 1st half. 2nd half we tried passing to team mates through the midfield and shock football broke out!!!! I have not seen Pep use this tactic.

I actually enjoyed the 1 against 2 when defending a set piece. Quite refreshing to see Curle take some risks.
Pretty dire standard overall but a simple enough victory.

He always plays one against one at corners, but today Macc decided to leave two up. Good on Curle I say.

If it was 85 mins gone in a game we needed to win I could accept it, but if you think it's a good idea to give the opposition a 2 on 1 when we are winning you really are talking out your ar*e

Good blend of youth in second half. Thought young Powell did well, getting stuck in and wanting to prove himself! Of course, easy to say that against poor Macclesfield!
The West Upper, classless and frankly, embarrassing, taunting a very loyal and decent 170 (or whatever) Macclesfield contingent with "You're going down". Brilliant lads... best you can do?

I question his decision to charge out.
But thought Turnbull had opportunity to clear it
Disappointed with Morais - shock horror would have withdrawn him and brought on Williams asap. I thought their number 10 was useful and scored a good goal. Seemed just the sort of centre forward we need? As for the criticism of Cornell - lost for words! Defensively it was a poor goal to give away a big hoof up the pitch with both central defenders out of position. Cornells decision to come out was correct but should not have hesitated which ultimately left him in no mans land. Also disappointed with Cox - on this showing Buchanan every time. Goode played well; Pierre much better 2nd half but cannot see him going to a 'big club'? Polllock also better second half with several decent bursts. Hoskins below par . Powell has done enough to be offered a contract and thought he did well in his striker role today. Worked hard too. Would keep Taylor on reduced terms especially if Goode goes or Pierre too for that matter. As for JJOT future its head over heart; he has had an indifferent season but even so would offer him one more season. As mentioned I liked the look of their striker - wound up the crowd and at times Pierre too; had decent pass in him Still get the impression that with a few decent signings we will be ok next season.

Its his opinion and also TP is not wrong either. Agreed it was a calculated risk but it paid off.Seems to me you worry too much about things which may happen (then don't).

Every day of every week you 'taunt' the away fans. You would expect them to do the same if we were in their position. Come on this is getting out of hand.

Nice to get back to winning ways. Macc not good, but no worse than Mansfield looked last week who are top 3, apart from defensive errors. Bowditch pulled the strings first half and scored a delightful goal. D.Powell looked good, strong and full of endeavour. If he played like that every week he'd be a shoe in for a new contract. Pollock looked composed second half. Didn't see much of the ball in the first half. Foley combative, Hoskins offered nothing again. Pleased Morias got his goal. Very unselfish from Powell to pass it and not score himself. Thought the officials were bad. Missed a lot of fouls on us yet blew up for minimal stuff on them. Reasonable turnout and great weather for it.

3 goals scored without a recognised striker on the pitch. Blimey, only us and Spain can do that....

Those same retards stood in the pouring rain at Macclesfield on a miserable cold night in October, behind the goal too. So whilst I deplore their ungentlemanly behaviour its dog eat dog in L2! Bet you did not even go to Macclesfield? Back to football - would you sign their striker ?
