Surely this is a rib tickling joke ? Where do some people get their ideas from? It’s like certain characters calling for more right back signings ! It is the most covered position at the club right now ! Unbelievable

Hallam Hope is one that I would like to see us go for. Maybe he is on our radar as he has recently stated his desire to leave Carlisle.

Nathan Tyson (yes, that one!) and Curtis Yebli feature as trialists against Sileby.

Junior Morias and Billy Waters are not going to Spain. Apparently, there is a limit on the numbers that can go. Didn't both of them stay at home last year aswell for differing reasons. Morias to get fit here and Waters to talk to Port Vale.

It’s always a bit sh**y when that kind of thing happens - got to feel a bit for both of them as it’s not their fault they’re not in KC’s plans.

I think we can assume that they are both surplus to requirements then.

But Joe Bunney is surplus, he's on the transfer list. However, he must be going to Spain. KC may have had a change of heart about Bunney.

Why would both of them play today, seems pointless if not in KC’s plans? Was this a decision made after the game?

Colin West confirms they won't travel to Spain in an interview after today's game. Interview available on NTFC Twitter.

As has been said before it’s one thing to ostracise a player or two but another to expect them to leave when they’ve still got a year left - I’m assuming that both waters and morias are on good money so the chances of them finding new clubs isn’t a foregone conclusion.

Am I the only one that thinks Junior could be a decent striker at this level?
No idea why KC is not keen on him, unless its his attitude.

In fairness CW has said that the door isn't closed to these players but they are limited with numbers and want to take players in various position instead of overloading in one position.

Maybe be it his level of performance (or not) in training!

Think Morais is simply not good enough - bad luck for him ref Spain. He should have done better against Sileby today.

I saw the interview before posting earlier. I am confused as to why the two of them started if they weren’t going to Spain.

Agreed. His goals-to-game ratio is decent and he offers something a bit different from Smith and Oliver. However, I think what we're seeing is that Curle - like most of his predecessors - favours his own men. The fact that he was looking at Tyson - essentially an older version of Morais - also speaks volumes.
