A few weeks ago in an interview Goode was asked about the possibility of joining us permanently and he said something about a lot depending on whether Sc***horpe stayed up or not. I wonder if their relegation makes it more or less likely that we could sign him

He said he is not selected there in a League 1 team so he may be off if they stayed up, but of course it is more likely they may select him in a League 2 team, so it's less likely he'll leave them now. Still a possibility though.

Makes sense I suppose, having said that he was deemed surplus to requirements and has played pretty much every game for us (and their fans seemed pretty glad to see him leave if I recall). The big stumbling block will be the remaining year on his contract so it will either be a fee or a pay out on that year.

Would be glad of us taking a punt on people like Matty Warburton, instead of splashing out mega wages on aging pro's that have offered very little (as seems to be the case with the ones we have signed recently).

Would certainly welcome Jamie Devitt as a replacement for Bridge/Bowditch, but will we have the wages to make it happen?

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like Devitt is a realistic option - Carlisle have offered him a new deal that would make him their best paid player and as he’s out of contract Hearts and Hibs are sniffing round. The only ace we would have up our sleeve is his past relationship with KC (I assume), but he would take up a big chunk of the budget.

Seriously how the hell do you know? I bet Ash Taylor and Facey were on a lot more than Carlisle's offer

I don’t think I said that I knew - a combination of KC having to bring the wage bill under control and 2 Scottish premiership sides hovering around suggests it would be difficult or do you think otherwise?

I think we would be in the race, guess it all depends on the budget KT gives KC but if we loose some of the big earners it's very possible.

Wages of Buchs,/Facey,/Bowditch = Devitt?

Not sure we would want to splurge on one player though.

Looking at Carlisle’s released players Gary Liddle has been signed twice previously by KC - Wikipedia says he’s a 31 year old centre back/central midfielder but looking at their forum I think he’s played wing back/full back. Mike Jones has been offered new terms but they are saying that his previous contract was heavily incentivised by KC so it will be a reduced offer, don’t know if he’d be interested again.

Just been on the Stockport county fan site they seems like there convinced that warburton joining us wages vary from £1200-£2500 the fans sound very bitter saying the rose of the shires is the arsehole of nowhere given a choice I know where I’d rather live read it you’ll find it quiet amusing

I hope I'm wrong!

No inside knowledge, except the fact KC tried to sign him in January (before Sordel) but Cambridge were demanding a fee which KC refused to pay...

As for Buchs & JJOT it wasn't rocket science....like most, didn't know JJOT had an additional year option within his contract.

Eventful Summer ahead!

Like most, Rocket Science?  .....I knew that JJOT had an contract option so he was likely to be offered an extension if only on reduced terms.
I hope he stays.
