Think we have got that with 2 of the 3 we have signed, but we could always do with more.

We can wait. It's been a good start with the 3 we've got.

Does that include possible outgoings too?

Sincerely hoping that we are not hamstrung by transfer listed players who we can't get rid of taking up budget.

This is a massive issue as all these players are still on L1 salaries too...

Just hope they all want to play regular first team football, rather than just doing a "Kasim"

Although their wages are high, they should be on "relegated" L1 salaries as KT alluded to the fact that we signed them with a clause that meant a lower salary if we got relegated.

Happy with the signings so far, a hungry talented player from non-league, an experienced pro (but younger) to replace Buchs with decent set piece delivery and can play all of the left side, and a very decent central midfielder to replace Bowditch/Foley/JJOT.

There will be a reliance on the youth to start proving themselves next season for certain, will be interesting to see if anyone other than Jay Williams, McWilliams and Pollock are involved heavily from the off. Suppose it is reliant on how many players leave/who we can sign but I would take these over some of the current crop.

Obviously hope we keep the big man/extend his contract...

Sure he'll be looking for better options than Shrewsbury!

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/05/16/shrewsbury-bid-for-in-demand-aaron-pierre/

Shrewsbury Town have launched a bid for Northampton Town defender Aaron Pierre as they look to fend off interest from Championship and League One clubs for his signature, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Pierre enjoyed an outstanding season for Northampton and he was rewarded by cleaning the boards at the club's end of season awards.

The Grenada international was a virtual ever-present for Northampton this season, making 45 appearances and chipping in with eight goals from central defence.

The 26-year-old's performances have not gone unnoticed among teams higher up the football ladder and they are monitoring his situation during this summer's transfer window.

Pierre is entering the final year of his contract at Northampton and his suitors are ready to test the Cobblers' resolve to hang onto the powerful defender.

Shrewsbury are keen to strengthen their squad this summer after narrowly avoiding relegation from League One and they have made Pierre one of their top targets.

However, they could face competition from a number of Championship and League One clubs who are also weighing up moves for the Pierre this summer.

There is absolutely no chance of him going to there bigger and better clubs will be looking at him with better offers with the greatest of respect to Shrewsbury unless of course it’s a ridiculous offer

Not being funny, but why would he not go there? They would give him lg1 every week. For what it's worth I think he will go higher, but people who think he won't go to 'little old Shrewsbury need to get a bit of perspective as they are bigger than us and it's exactly what he did when he left Wycombe for us.

I just hope that if he does go it is sooner rather than later so we know what we need. It would be bl**dy typical if we lose Pierre but keep hold of Taylor.

Look at it another way: they wouldn't have offered much. They're just getting in early to see if there's any chance of capitalising on our desperation. We will get better offers. Bet they didn't offer more than £150k.

A bidding war could push the price up.
First £1m player?

At least if a few clubs are interested we might get something like what he’s worth (whatever that is) and not just having to accept the only offer we get - having said that we won’t get told how much the fee is in any case. Failing that if we just get derisory offers it would probably be worth just holding on to him for the last year of his contract in the hope that he leads us to promotion. If he does go I’m guessing that we would probably go for Goode who while being a solid enough player is no Pierre.
