Cornell is sh1t FACT
he saved us a few points last season, people should be looking at the other 10 players that were in front of him, yeah he might have made a few mistakes and we remember them more than the mistakes we made up front because it cost us points but if the strikers put the ball away more in games then his odd mistake wouldn't have mattered so much

Cornell will be the number one goalkeeping choice next season . Lots of people predicted he would be the first player replaced in the January window . They were wrong . He won’t be replaced in the close season window either .
I think we will have a new number 1

He cost us more points than he saved us. If we're happy to continue along as a lower/bottom half team that flirts with relegation then Dai is fine for that. If however we want to kick on and become a top half / promotion chasing team then better is required and KC will be fully aware of that.

Name the games that he cost us points. State the goals that he was at fault for.

Absolute rubbish . DC made mistakes and did cost us games on occasions but name me a division 2 keeper that didn’t ! It’s his first full season and I think he did very well for us . He is excellent off his line and reads the game well. He can improve but doesn’t deserve the abuse he gets on here from people that just look at the post match highlights

Tbf I can name many more games that he kept us in. Suppose that’s the joys of being a goalkeeper. Would rather the money be spent elsewhere. Think you need to remember he has played behind a pretty poor team all season.

Lincoln , Mansfield and Cheltenham you were not there I know that for a ......FACT. Why select BR when they are in L1 ...FACT In all the L2 games particularly Mfield and Lincoln; seasoned experts on here who went blamed the defense in front of him - it is a team game but I guess you get the idea...... not necessarily a .....FACT tho'.

Do you have to attend a game to hold an opinion? I have never witnessed a nuclear explosion but I have an opinion on them.

For Christ's sake some people like Cornell and some don't, ok guys we get it, now can we please get back to the point of this thread which if you remember is about transfer rumours. It seems every thread develops into an argument which goes round and round in circles ultimately going nowhere.

All I can say is have a look at FGR Forum and then give an informed opinion on Ward. I enjoy any critical opinion of a (NTFC) player but I think along with two or three others; you have developed an obsessive opinion which you air constantly to hammer home a derided and outdated opinion. By the way what happened to your theory that the squad was more than good enough and should make the play-offs?
In other words you are saying that Cornell is good enough, FACT, yes? As to my theory about the quality of the squad being good enough for the play-offs, what has that got to do with Cornell, except from your using it as a feeble attempt to rubbish my opinion about our current GK situation? Regardless, the evidence suggests that estimation wasn't too far wrong, being that the points per game ratio after Curle came in, if extrapolated for the whole season, would have seen us finishing teetering on the edge of the play-offs at least. Considering the extensive injury list we had as the season drew to a close and the loss of Crooks and Van Veen in January I think it's fair to say that if it hadn't been for Austin's mismanagement in the first 10 matches the squad was good enough to finish in the play-offs last season.

I've heard a rumour that some incoming transfers are going to be announced soon, I wonder if one will be a GK? Anyone with any inside goss?

Well, we had the one in that was due yesterday/day before which has likely just slipped a few days, so I'd be expecting one in this week but no idea who it would be.
