I saw the interview before posting earlier. I am confused as to why the two of them started if they weren’t going to Spain.

Because the door isn't closed to them according to West. They wanted to give them some game time before going to Spain.

In fairness CW has said that the door isn't closed to these players but they are limited with numbers and want to take players in various position instead of overloading in one position.

I take your point but waters and morias (and Williams and Bunney) are all sitting on at least a year left of what must be pretty decent contracts - it’s not like by leaving them out of tours or making them train with the kids is going to magically mean another club will come in and create space for us to bring in players we actually want.

Think Morais is simply not good enough - bad luck for him ref Spain. He should have done better against Sileby today.

Sat next to James Whiting who confirmed Hope is one of a number on a list of players KC still trying to bring in but doesn't think anything will happen as Carlisle wanting silly money. Hoping to offload two players also...interest in BW but we are trying to recoup some sort of fee for him but clubs reluctant to pay a fee.

Also, Simon Tracey ain't going anywhere, contrary to what someone on here posted a while back...

I think if Bunney stays , he could become the next cult hero at the club .
It looks like KC might fancy him if he is on the plane to sunny Spain .

I don't...

Thought he was poor on Saturday & in every pre season press shot he looks uninterested...

Fact is he was signed for a fee on decent L1 wages by the clown JFH & no one is prepared to take him off our hands at the moment...he doesn't want to be here but is contracted and as we are short on left sided players so he's gone to Spain...

Hope it works out for him & the club one way or another before the season starts as we can't be carrying passengers.

Not sure Bunney is any more favoured or unfavoured than Morais really, willing to listen to offers, will have a role if he stays. He just happens to play in a position where we aren't overloaded.

Why is it BS ?
The club will have a budget and a certain amount of rooms and flights allocated .
If Waters and Morias have made it clear they want to go or the club has told them they are unwanted , why waste time taking them ?

I saw a very interested and upbeat Joe Bunney on Saturday. Bonding with his team mates and coaches, having some banter, looking relaxed and even being hugged by a member of the coaching staff. He certainly didn't look dis-interested and took on board the instructions. We are in need of a left sided wide player.
