Why is it BS ? The club will have a budget and a certain amount of rooms and flights allocated . If Waters and Morias have made it clear they want to go or the club has told them they are unwanted , why waste time taking them ?
They flew Ryanair FFS I think they could have booked two more seats likewise with one more room. Just not cool.

I personally wouldn't be at all surprised if any gaps in the squad are filled now by loan signings.

I saw a very interested and upbeat Joe Bunney on Saturday. Bonding with his team mates and coaches, having some banter, looking relaxed and even being hugged by a member of the coaching staff. He certainly didn't look dis-interested and took on board the instructions. We are in need of a left sided wide player.
I honestly think Bunney would be a decent addition on the left , as long as he doesn’t play traditional left back . He can even play as a striker if we had injuries . I think we should give him a chance in his rightful position which JFH hardly did .

Its hard to defend the club/KC from a distance, BUT we don't know what the in's and out's are. At the end of the day, Morais may have a trial lined up or something, and if KC wants him gone then that may help the cause. Just as an example. I like Morais. But an issue I think is fair to mention, is that with him you've got to play a very certain way. Almost like you've got to build your attack round him. He's not a target man, he's not the nippy strike partner associated with a Forester/Howard type traditional forward line. He's not great with his back to goal. His main attribute is his ability to finish which is 2nd to none at this level, but as far as fitting into a team/style of play, its more difficult. I've little doubt if he left, he'd bang 20 goals for another team in this division, assuming he stayed fit. But would that be to the detriment to that team as a whole? Think about how you'd utilise him if you were the manager, I have and I honestly cant come up with an answer!

TBF I looked a couple of days ago and the cheapest flights were £435 return, if it was unknown if he would be fit then that might have played a part. It does seem odd though. Morais might be on a ridiculous wage though that could be used to add balance to the squad. He seems to struggle with fitness and if a similar foward could be brought in for much less then it might be for the best. I personally wouldn't be at all surprised if any gaps in the squad are filled now by loan signings.
I wouldn't have a problem with this at all now, there are not many positions a first 11 player would be needed for.

Maybe he doesnt like flying, who was it that was defending players privacy with regard to injury/illness a while back? Maybe he doesn't have a passport like that other fella we had recently? I'd say he can play very well with his back to goal provided it comes into feet, I'd have hated to play against him as a central defender, and as you say, he can score a goal. However, he probably just doesnt figure in KC plans now that he's got two Smith Oliver and Williams in the squad.

We dont know the reason they were left behind. Morais and Waters might be scared of flying for all we know

It appears we have Jon Guthrie (Ex-Walsall) amongst the subs today?

Plenty of L1 experience with Walsall - only 27. Sort of potential Diamond signing!

Christ, don’t tell Manwork - he’ll have a coronary over whose place in the 22 he’s taking up.

Looking at the feedback on the Walsall forums they weren’t exactly gutted that he was released. It looks like he might fit the bill in terms of being a left footer and the fact that he’s 6ft3 probably fits in with KC’s template. I would hope we could get someone a bit more inspiring but then again he’s still pretty young.

How would you like it if your boss came in tomorrow and told everybody that works there that you are all going on a weeks team bonding, then he/ she called you over and told you your not going? On another note Jon Guthrie is a p1ss poor defender, he was all over the place against us last season and since his signing has presided over 2 relegation battles, Walsall fans don’t have a good word, no thanks.

Sorry, don't buy this! Fans reckoning they can remember the individual performance of a non-entity opposition player (basically!) when you can't actually recall that we didn't play Walsall last season!

This seems to have struck a bit of a nerve with you for some reason. No, I imagine it wouldn’t be particularly pleasant if the scenario you say is the fact of the situation but as others have said there might be a variety of explanations - who’s to say waters or morias said they didn’t want to travel as they are looking at arranging a move? Newell’s only just 18 so he’s got plenty of time and probably will go out on loan for the season anyway. I agree with your second paragraph but I suspect that KC is a better judge of a player - particularly a centre half - than either of us.
