It’s not though is it, it’s division 2 to Southern Prem big difference and you know it.....exactly what happened to a lot of our youth players, at the end of the day it’s the clubs fault for not having an under 23 team!

Agree. Mangirl comments are shambolic and show a clear lack of understanding about football player development.

I suspect it’s about money - running an under 23 or full reserve team in a league requires more players, use of pitches, transport etc.
Loaning a young player out makes a lot of sense - should be at a reasonable level but also considering age location is also a factor.

To play whom? What you are basically arguing is do not both with youth development. Thats fine. Most league clubs agree with tthat Agree or not we are trying to develop young players. Cost effective? Probsbly not.

If they had genuine pro potential they would shine in the lower leagues. If they fit in nicely it shows they are in their level.

Curle must have been putting Morias and Bunney in the spotlight to generate interest by playing them on Saturday . I couldn’t quite believe that myself .

Or as is more likely, Curle has realised that no one is going to come in for either of them and he is going to be stuck with them when the window closes.

But unfortunately it probably also means that we’re not going to bring any more in if we can’t ship any out. Looking at how Isgrove has started for Swindon he would have been ideal on the left (I’ve no idea if we were genuinely in for him or not). I saw someone on Facebook was saying about Ricky Holmes again but I would have thought that’s very unlikely.

My view on that is we have enough players that are injury prone already unless it’s a pay as you play deal which is unlikely . I do wonder if we have been holding out for a fee for the transfer listed players and if we will eventually accept them going out on loan.

I tend to agree with you on that but the sentimental side of me would have Holmes back in a heartbeat if he’s even remotely fit. I see that it looks like Jamie Devitt is going to be let out on loan from Blackpool only weeks after he signed for them - it seems that he doesn’t fit into Simon Grayson’s plans.

It is a shame all our players aren't on a pay as you play deal. It would save us a lot of money.
