It is a shame all our players aren't on a pay as you play deal. It would save us a lot of money.
Hoskins would be a millionaire

It’s all gone very quiet on the transfer front . I am genuinely surprised no one has come in for any of the three listed players . It must be down to wages or that we are holding out for a fee in each case .

I very much doubt it, we are now in the bargain basement and I shudder to think what Curle will go for we desperately need a left sided player who has pace and a footballing brain. Something that Hoskins has never had.

Looking at the bench on Tuesday there were a lot of strikers and nothing in the way of creativity in wide positions. Hopefully we cna get a left winger in to balance the squad.

Curle will probably sign a 6”9’ striker who is 43 years old and play him at left wing back.... oh hang on

its good news in the sense that in theory it should give KC the wiggle room to bring in own man in, in a position we are desperately crying out to get sorted (left wing).
Time will tell. But he's not been playing and I struggled to see where he fitted in with any formation other than a 4-4-2, as well as not offering what we desperately crave for...pace.

I agree with all this - it will be interesting to see who KC brings in.

Post-move watch him start banging 'em in .... a-la McKay, Toney, Morison etc.

Curle hinted in the Chron that he could bring people in with out selling Junior, he also stated that bringing in someone would have knock on effects for other squad members game time, which he was being mindful of. So we may not get a new body in before the end of the window.

That's news to me - is it a loan or sale?

Sale - undisclosed fee. He's signed a 2 year contract.

Yeah, I am sure all of our other left wingers will have their noses put out of joint if we bring in a new one

He was a raw young player back then, he's matured & bulked up massively since then & would be a very decent signing for us if we are in for him... KC is a massive admirer too & I'm sure would love to bring him in... https://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/news/2017/july/hopeinterview3jul17/
