'To repeat'? ffs.
Well, 'to repeat', Cornell was dropped in the second game for the new 'keeper and it is debatable whether he would even be in the side now if Arnold hadn't got injured. Cornell is the most replaceable player of the team that's played since Arnold's injury and I doubt there's more than a couple of first team 'keepers in this division who are worse than him.
Cornell is the clubs most saleable player? Arf!
At times you resort to damn Cornell with faint praise. The truth is that your stance on Cornell was cemented last year with your stats formulated to suit your opinion. There is no way back for you other than the apathetic opinion above. Most Cobblers supporters go along with Cornell true we could do better and perhaps Arnold will prove to be the better. At the moment they are both Cobblers players so I merely support both. Frankly I don’t understand your stance on the player and neither can I understand why you have engineered your self into this uncompromising position.

Since when has that been a stipulation to comment? You don't learn a lot about football watching the Cobblers week in, week out.

SOG is entitled to his opinion; it is merely an observation. As for your judgemental comment on watching the Cobblers that you don’t learn a lot. If you are of a negative attitude and you exhibit plenty of such comments you ought to consider informing readers of a team you can recommend.

How many times do I need to explain to you Evers', that I have nothing against Cornell and that my opinion about him does not mean I do not want him to do well? How have I 'formulated' stats to suit my opinion? The stats you refer to were not 'formulated' in any way. Have you ever thought that the reason I may post my opinion on Cornell more than other players is for the simple reason that he is perhaps the one player that seems to polarise opinions so much? When someone posts an 'opinion' such as 'Cornell is out most saleable player', why should I not debate that point? Is that not part of what the forum is for?

You have posted stats on Cornell which do him no favour at all and persist with damning him with faint praise. Nobody is suggesting your right to debate with SOG on the subject but equally others are also permitted their point of view. When challenged on your opinion you go very defensive on the Forum right to debate and then suggest Cornell polarize views; this is hardly Cornells fault more so those who are determined to prove come what may to prove their opinion is correct. Clearly you are included in this group; give the bloke a break and adopt him as your number one NTFC goalie.

What are you on about? Where have I ever acted as if people weren't entitled to their point of view? It's usually you or B&S who resort to insults and become defensive and/or obtuse when their opinions are challenged. As to the bit in bold, why the hell would this be Cornell's fault?

Your missing the point(s) again! Regarding your opening line - of course you have misinterpreted what I said - a coincidence? Then you strongly infer I have insulted you! If this was the case I apologise but please show me the evidence or withdraw your complaint? As for the bold bit - of course it’s not Cornell who has instigated polarisation of himself it’s unfortunately it’s his distractors of which you are one!

Why play a youngster when we can get another 30 something free agent in instead? Seriously, first time round he was efficient without standing out. This will bring another experienced head into the dressing room, but like you say what signals does this send out the younger players? Doesn't make much sense to me that a lot is happening on the youth side, things are going well, we are attracting people into the setup, but where are the players coming through into the first team? Its almost as if we are running two clubs within a club now.

With luck Anderson can replace Adams, then the younger players can stay and get rid of a has been.

Paul Anderson is a strange one . He hasn’t done much for quite a long time . As others have said , it’s another place on the bench that a youngster will not now be taking.

Or it's a place on the bench that allows a youngster to go out on loan and play regular 90 minute adult football before coming back to a squad better equipped to contribute to the first team.
