I think if the money is right for all parties, then Dai will be off and fair play to him.

He has had an awful lot of stick from a large portion of the fanbase, he has never really got into a team other than hours and is 28.

Why would he not want to take a big move and be more financially secure? I hope he stays until at least the end of the season, he has been fantastic so far in my opinion.

Not sure Arnold is at the same level, but we haven't seen as much of him and I am sure he would be a decent replacement should Dai leave, plus we have Fisher who can be called upon as well.

I'm just hoping Scott Wharton doesn't get recalled!

Perhaps Clarence will submit his 'evidence' to put them off Cool

Put who off? It's a made up story as most of these kind of stories are. From the same article Lambert says they've got 2 excellent 'keepers and another on loan at Millwall. Makes no mention of Cornell.

He's only played a few matches and has been mostly out injured. Check out the highlights of the Portsmouth game and tell me he isn't at Cornell's level. 5 good saves, 2 of them outstanding, the last save in particular being as good a stop as you'll see from any 'keeper in the world. Show me a Cornell save as good as that in his time here, I'd love to see it.

A comment from the Portsmouth video: 'Their 'keeper must have been on coke or something', to describe how good Arnold was.

Based on one game? I'd rather say after I've seen him have a run in the team, hence why I said I am not sure on Arnold yet.

Not sure if you are confusing the save with the one prior to it, but the last one on the highlights doesn't strike me as being as good as ones from any keeper in the world like you suggest, but that's a matter of opinion.

I could trawl through some saves from Cornell for you, but I doubt very much it would change your opinion (is your Google broken?  Grin) from the sounds of things.

I thought that I provided a balanced assessment of Arnold from a first hand viewing at Pompey...

It’s about time there were some rumours on incomings with only a few weeks to go ....
Billy Waters must be itching to go and I hope Cornell isn’t sold because I’m not convinced by Arnold .
Some of the other lads are also only on short term contracts and might also be released , particularly Kaja.
It would be good to see a lively centre forward come in and possibly cover at centre half if we are playing a back three . Hall - Johnson and Williams are the only cover we have if one of the regulars gets injured .

I think we honestly just need someone who can step in for McCormack, as he's the dynamo who holds it together and has put us in the position we're in and we all know that he is not going to go the whole season being fit.

Personally I think the best replacement in McCormack's position is Turnbull, but that would leave us needing another centre-back. I think we need another centre-back anyway, both to cover this possibility and that of Wharton being recalled. Jay Williams hasn't convinced me so far and both he and Hall-Johnson lack height and power in that position.

Losing Wharton would be a disaster . I wonder what it would take to sign him permanently ?

Dunno. Maybe the Trust could use some of that money they are sitting on to set up a crowdfunding scheme...?  Evil

McCormack would walk into any side in the division . Replacing him is on a par with getting a 30 goal striker !

Aye, I don't think you'll replace him as anyone easily good enough for him won't sit on the place, but you need someone who, if not just as good as him, does the same sort of job. I don't think you have that with Watson and Pollock, and obviously you don't with Lines. McWilliams is the one who could be that, but he's not made the grade yet.

Would have thought that Pollock would be ok?
