In the car home I heard TO come up with the points we've gained this season against teams in the top half versus teams in bottom half.
With one game to go:
35 points from 24 games against top half sides
23 points from 21 games against bottom half sides.

That's a tricky jigsaw.
Where are you now Cobbler78?

You're not on here much but that's not bad Richard. A post just eighteen hours after I reprised your thread.
I expect you are still busy trying to sell out our stadium?

Must admit you did come in for some harsh and unfair treatment?

Plus poor sides tend to park the bus and our hoof ball style less likely to be successful.

Cobblers record this season shows 39 pts from 27 games from the 14 opponents above us and only 19pts from 18 games from the 9 opponents below us. But we haven't beaten any of the top 4 sides nor either of the bottom 2.
Most success has come against teams in or just below the play-offs with 35 pts from 17 games from teams 5th to 13th.

We probably needed a different strategy against teams near the bottom, maybe a more gung-ho attack minded spirit against the weaker teams in this league. But at least I'm pleased that Macclesfield survived relegation.
