I assume we'll play Matthew Warburton at left wing back at some point.

From current players , the team I would like us to put out is :

                        Cornell

           Williams.  Goode.    Turnbull
Adams                                            Bunney
                McCormack.   Lines

                      Warburton

                    Smith.    Williams

Pollock to come on if Warburton under performs .
MacWilliams and Watson ready to replace the centre 2 .
Martin ready if Bunney gets homesick and has a shocker .

I like the look of that team but the depressing thing is, based on preseason it isn’t very likely for the start of the season.

I couldn’t agree more mate.
I can see MacWilliams playing right back, Adams on the left and it’s anyones guess at central defence.
This is what concerns me about KC - he tries to be too clever but quite honestly isn’t up to it .

As I said before Martin has not been brought in to sit on the bench, he was one of the first signings. If we are playing with 3 central defenders Martin will be left wing back with Adams on the right. Should it be a back 4 Martin will be left back and Hall -Johnson or maybe McWilliams at right back with Adams pushed up to midfield.

My team selection is based on what I would like to see ,not what I think our esteemed manager will select !
That’s anyone’s guess .

Judging by whoever runs the club's Facebook page, the most important thing going on at the moment isn't anything to do with players, it's Keith Curle's bloody hat. Oh, the hilarity.

Probably swapping Morias for the prolific speed merchant Sordell!  Shocked

Sordell retired today age 28, so sad reading his story.

The rumour I mentioned from Twitter was crap, I googled the player and he signed for Carlisle  or someone before the date of the rumour pop.

Twitter is full of carp, there is a guy on there advertising a new forum but when you click it there ain't a register button! lool another tit.

Lukey it says opening soon, my interpretation is that is probably why there is no register button but i reckon Dave is BedsCobb starting his own forum to fit the redevelopment thread on.

I think the starting team for the game against Walsall will be:

               Cornell

Goode  Turnbull  Wharton  Martin

       McCormack   Lines

 Adams    Warburton   Hoskins

                Smith

I think it will come down to a choice between Hall-Johnson or Wharton. Considering Curle has stated he has been chasing Wharton all summer and Hall-Johnson was released by fellow league 2 strugglers Grimsby, plus Goode having done well at RB last season, I think Wharton will start.

With Shaun McWilliams on the bench covering McCormack in case he breaks down, Watson covering Lines, Bunney covering Martin/Hoskins and Jay Williams covering CB and RB positions, with A.Williams and Pollock as last 2 subs.

Might be handy to have a goalkeeper as a sub.

I don’t think he will play Goode at right back and two left footed centre halves together .
I think it will be :

                          Cornell
         Goode.    Wharton.      Turnbull
Adams                                              Martin ( would prefer Bunney )
                        Macormack   Lines

                     Warburton
Smith.     Hoskins ( would prefer Williams )

I think KC played 4 at the back yesterday because that is the formation he will be going with against Walsall. So, on that basis and I could be completely wrong  Grin

                                       Cornell

Hall-Johnson          Goode            Turnbull          Martin

                                 McCormack

Adams                   Lines              Warburton       Hoskins

                                    Smith

Subs; Arnold, Wharton, Bunney, McWilliams, Watson, Williams, Oliver

That's where he played last night, swapping with Adams on occasions. Seemed to do well enough....and scored.

Not a bad effort. Thought he'd plump for Arnold

I can see a 4-2-3-1 formation.

                    GK-Arnold
LB-Martin, CB-Wharton, CB-Goode, RB-Hall-Johnson
             CM-Lines, CM-McCormack
AML-Hoskins, AMC-Warburton, AMR-Adams
                    CF- Smith

Subs: Cornell, Turnbull, S.McWilliams, Pollock, Watson, Oliver.
