I’m sure the Wilder/Knill connections are the reason why we have this game, at our place, against a Premier League team, a bit of pre-season revenue and a bit of practice for the campaign ahead. Don’t have a problem with that......

MK Dons however.....I despise everything about them apart from their stadium!!
Think the reason the Cobblers have agreed to play MK at Sixfields is an environmental one...the amount of plastic floating around Stadium: MK (especially for their last game v Mansfield) was shocking!

Woo hoo! That's a genuine whoop rather than sarcasm, by the way; I love this match!

Yep, decent weather, chance to see a lot of the players and boost Sileby's funds at the same time

Sheffield Wednesday now added to the home fixture list - Tuesday 16th July at 7.30pm.

Decent set of home fixtures, one from the Prem, one from the Championship and one from League One.

Disapointed that isn't an away one.

The ways its worded, hints there are more pre-season games to come... going to 6 or 7 makes for a pretty busy schedule!

And the fact it looks like we will have the vast majority of the squad in place before pre season training commences is a welcome change!
Get a full pre season out of them, time to bond, fitness camp in Spain, and a decent pre season fixture schedule should hopefully mean we hit the ground running on August.

True. I think last year's soft pre-season (no league teams IRC, just non-league and a Man U X1) was a significant factor in our poor start.

Think this pre seasons fixtures are the best we've had for years. I'd rather pay 12 quid for the Sheffield teams and the mk mongs rather than the crap we have previously had in the last 5 years or so
