The fourth new signing of the summer is striker Harry Smith who has signed a 3 year contract from Macclesfield for an undisclosed fee.

Good luck at NTFC Harry.

He looked very useful in the Home game v Macclesfield , scored a good goal and could even pass the ball well.  Pleased we have signed a decent prospect.

One Macc view:
"Good in the air and a handful for defenders but can't finish to save his life and can get quite wound up when things aren't going his way.

But that's not to say he's a bad player. If you play to his strengths he will do well for you."

He's only 23 nearly 24, hopefully here is where he flourishes...

His finishing looked ok when he scored against us and there are some good finishes in his highlight reel. Hopefully with better quality players alongside him he will thrive.

Very good signing. Good age. Was very impressed when he certainly didnt seem to struggle to finish against us.

I kind of understand what your saying, but they don't actually start back in training until the end of June, so the gelling point doesn't really come in to effect until then.

they might not play together straight away but surely they'll meet each other and have some sort of team building exercises together?

No, they're on holiday. That will happen when they return at the end of June.

I don't think it will be a holiday in Spain, I think they'll be working very, very hard. Plus it's supposed to help team bonding.

Great signing!

Haven't had a proper target man of our own since big Stevie Howard.
Michael Smith when on loan was the nearest...

He was a right pain against us & also hit the bar before he scored...
Good hold up/link play too if I remember...

Think he'll be a real crowd favorite with our fans & the villain for all opponents  Grin

well are last few visits to Spain haven't produced good seasons but then we play 7 pre season games against part time teams from the 9th tier or lower when we get back so hopefully this season is different

I actually think we have 3 very good strikers at this level with Wlliams, Moaris and Smith with all of them offering something different.

Looked a decent player when he played at Sixfields. Sort of player that will rile defenders.

First money signing by Curle and handed a 3 year contract.

Good luck Harry welcome to the jigsaw.
