I think it probably is. However, I also think that's the price we are paying for being rescued from oblivion by KT and DB. Yes, it would have been lovely to see some
white knight investors come charging over the horizon and rescue us for the love of the club. We didn't get that but were still happy enough just to be rescued at the time.
I hesitate to say "if you make a deal with the devil" as it makes KT sound like the bad guy and I don't think he is; he's just a businessman trying to turn a profit out of an opportunity and, despite what some people seem to think, that isn't actually a crime. Instead I'll just borrow from Vintage's imagery and say that the scenarios Vintage laid out are simply the manner in which we need to pay the (Pied) Piper.
By the way, isn't it a little ironic that the very people who are dismissing KT as a greedy developer are the same ones bemoaning our lot under his stewardship? "Yeah, you rescued us but why haven't you made us successful since...?" The moon on a stick springs to mind....
Oh well, that's another thread cross-contaminated by the redev thread!
A white knight? Surely in today's multi-cultural Britain, a knight of any colour would suffice!
