NTFC have announced the ticket sales for the game at Colchester, I think we are in a different section of the ground to last season. They sell "early bird" tickets with the cheapest prices, available up to 5 weeks in advance, which by my reckoning is this Saturday, they are £16.50 or £18.50 ( Concessions £12 or £14) rising to £24 or £26 (Concessions £18 or £20) on the day. Very reasonable advance prices but £26 is surely the dearest League 2 admission !!

They varied the "away enclosure" last season, sometimes the stand behind the goals was used (as it was for our visit) and sometimes the East Stand was used (as it is for our visit this season), so yes, we will be down the side as opposed to behind the goal.
It will have to be allocated seating thanks to the differing price structures for different sections of the stand (Block E1 and Block E2 initially)
If we did want extra tickets then the price goes up again as block E3 is £2 more than E2, and E4 is £2 more than E3, to the extent that a seat in block E4, the centre of that stand is £30 on matchdays!

No wonder they can barely get a crowd. Football tickets dont' sell in the same way as air fares!

Also novel that Colchesters stadium will be cashless next season, so its card payment only even if you turn up on the day....and card payment only for refreshments too!

This could boost revenue. The number of times I've fancied something at half time, home or away, and then realised I've got no cash!

Good on them for trying something new, if nobody trades to try something different then nothing would ever progress and things become ancient. With all the thieves and pickpocket gangs operating in Colchester this could be a stroke of genius, though if they nick a card they can still do contactless.

Almost every game I attend either myself or someone I am with will not have cash on them.
