Who else is starting to get a little bit excited?
I know I’m going to get all sorts of advice on how/where my frequently misplaced optimism could be spent ... But come on. It’s what we all love. A balls not been kicked in anger yet, but I love the idea that we could be on the brink of a fantastic season.
Can’t wait....

Im really looking forward to the season, cant wait. Im not quite sure why! But after 3 sh1t seasons, we are due a decent one I guess! There's a few things that have got to click for us and go our way, but if they all do...we could have a memorable season. Roll on Walsall, then Im orf eyt the country for a fortnight straight after the game so will miss the follow up fixtures but will no doubt be logging in to the i-player when they come up, from a nice sunny spot in our holiday destination

Need a bit of luck at the start of the season, start with a few wins and who knows.
Last season against eventual champions Lincoln we looked good and outplayed them for large periods of the game. But Hoskins, Powell and Williams all missed one-on-ones and a possible win ended in 0-1 defeat. Early optimism was dashed, but the season could have and should have been so much better.

Anticipation levels have risen markedly off the back of a decent performance and win against MK.....
On paper we have made some good signings.....if they gel and KC plays a consistent team (rather than his usual chop and change every game) we could go well.
We haven't got to wait very long to find out anyway.......

As previously said above, after 3 poor season's we're due a good one. Getting into the top seven early season and staying there will keep the optimism going, and help get our starting 11 sorted with a prefered style of play. Play offs are a bare minimum requirement from this squad.

I think much will depend on injuries and whether the old guard of Macormack , Lines and Adams can stay fit . They will need some nurturing and protecting throughout the season. When they do get injured or need resting , the likes of MacWilliams , Watson and Pollock will need to step up to the plate and realise potential for us to do well.

I remain optimistic but always interesting the fickle nature of us fans - doom and gloom from many on the back of indifferent friendlies and one good performance against MK and it’s all sunshine again - heaven help KC if things don’t go well against Walsall.
