Goode by a country mile. Thought Warburton had a good game considering he has never played at this level, and Adams looked a threat when we could get him the ball.

Goode, easily. Apart from Hall Johnson, whole defence looked OK.

Nicky Adams
Felt we were always in with a chance with him on the pitch. Without him it would have been dire.

Nicky Adams.
Really should have converted at least one of his quality crosses. Goode was pretty consistent throughout and showed plenty of fighting spirit. Martin had an excellent 2nd half. First 20 minutes we looked all at sea defensively with both Hall-Johnson and Wharton shaky, although both improved a little 2nd half. Central midfield was the real problem with McCormack clearly not fit and Lines fairly anonymous. Add to that Hoskins inability to challenge the goalkeeper and somewhat lack of mobility from Smith, it is clear goalscoring is going to be a real problem this season.
I think Warburton has to play further forward on the shoulder of Smith to gain advantage from his knock downs and maybe give Bunney a go in place of Hoskins. A left sided player who has some pace, can cross the ball, and has been known to score a goal or two.
With Adams we have a clear match winner we just have to take advantage.
