I am desperately sorry for the Bury supporters because this could happen to any number of clubs in a similar position.
I do go back to my points above though . They over spent on wages of players when creditors were not being paid . It was appalling mis management .
Last seasons promotion was a fraud and I made the point at the time . Curle also alluded to it .
No one wanted to see them crash out the league though .

Well the Bury forum have been asking for donatuons to keep it running for a while now and I think that is a disgrace.
Asking people to pay to discuss their own club when they also oay to watch games, shocking.
How about. rather than ask for donations... use a free forum software package.
They were asking for money to spend on something that could have been free.
Throwing money away does not work in lower league football, the forum owner should have learnt that from his own club.
Niw they could end up playing at the same step as Bury Town.

Only one to be relegated from Division Four confirmed. |

Two week stay of execution for Macclesfield, who claimed there were "banking problems" which meant money from a driectors account based in Spain had not found its way to the club. It would appear the players haven't been paid again though and are threatening another strike prior to this weekends local derby with Crewe.
Also worth noting that Sol Campbell supported the winding up petition as he claims to be owed £182,000 from his 9 month tenure. I do wonder how anyone thought it was a good idea to bring him in on high wages to a club which couldn't attract crowds of 2000.
Now of course he is at Southend, who themselves were in court today facing their FOURTH winding up order this year by HMRC.
