Who is Bayo ?

Noticed a few northerners in the West Stand quite vocal in support of Nathanial, couldn't work out of they were mates/family or traveling Stoke fans.

Nice to see tho, reminiscent of those scousers who followed Hughesy when he was here.

Impressed by Nathanial so far but would like to see him get forward more, but I suppose that depends on what Sammo wants him to do. He seems better on the ball than Osman, and his passing would be of better use further up the pitch.

Could be a big season for Nathanial now Osman has gone. I remember at times last season thinking that he looked great in midfield. There are however obvious concerns about his fitness and will to win.

On his day he is a beast in the middle, capable of knocking his opponents about and passing well.

Same as with Thornton really imo. Could be class if he gets properly fit, obviously always going to be a larger type but can still get fit.

Wedderburn needs to lose abit of weight, and has been told to do so over the summer. you will be able to tell if thornton and wedderburn will improve by the amount of effort they put in over the summer. If they both ome back fat , or just too big in wedderburns case. then you will know they are not really that botherd.

Agree, GJ did say that he has been making him do a lot of running in training to change his body shape.

Hopefully he has been keeping this up in the pre-season as a more athletic Wedderburn would be like a new signing for us....

Thing with Wedds is that he was obviously offloaded by Stoke and came with "weight issues".

You'd think though that arriving at the Cobblers he'd have bucked his ideas up, got super fit and put himself in the shop window. Hasn't really done that has he?

He is very strong and if GJ gets him fit he'll be decent I think

I think he has a year left on his contract, so if he's one of those players who ends up doing just enough to get a new contract to follow on he should play OK in the second part of the season. Or maybe he's fired up to train like a Trojan, lose weight, and fight his socks off all the way through. We soon shall know.

If I was him i'd pull my finger out and get higher up the ladder because he is very close to not being a league footballer anymore. Getting released from a Prem club should be inspiration in itself

Living in Wolverhampton over term time, I had the fortune of playing with Nat in a 'jumpers for goalposts' kickabout in Stafford a couple of weeks ago. His skills are epic! Seems a decent lad too, just seemed completely ridiculous that he was a year younger than me.

I really home he does lose some weight and come good for us this season. He clearly has the potential to be far better than Osman ever could, but like Osman, he needs to improve his work ethic. If him and Thornton can stay out of Thornton's untill then, we will have a very strong midfield next season. I'm looking forward to it.

Ah, the forgotten man!!

Can you give us a weekly bulletin on his fitness / size etc? Remind him that it's his last chance having dropped 3 divs, did he hang out with KT?? It clicked with JJ so maybe they should all team up.

Tell him we are rooting for him - as hopefully he'll come back as a new signing for us.  Smiley

Did Sammo say he bought him and Courtney on the one good game they had against us (Hereford & Long Buckby respectively).  Angry Huh?

I won't be seeing him again until maybe same time next year now. University has finished for the year and am now back in the shire. His fitness didn't seem too bad though, but then again, he was just playing against a bunch of unfit students looking for a kickaround  Grin

Nice lad, hopefully he spends pre season looking after himself. The mutual friends I have with him are DJ's, event organisers and heavy drinkers ... hopefully won't be too much of a distraction.

He's only about 20 or 21 isn't he? Plenty of time for him to develop into a very good player, and definitely one for the future, but he needs to get himself into shape first, as others have said...

I like how Bayo looks like a heavyweight boxer. He must be around 17 stone! He's huge!

Yup Well done Wedders, he looks well fit  Kiss Hopefully he'll be like a new signing for us... midlfield and front line looking very good on paper now. Be interesting to see where GJ plays Davies and if we decide on bringing in any more defensive cover/experience (aside from the imminent left back and keeper).

Bayo is just an absolute beast and youd have to imagine that centre backs hate playing against him, especially the younger more inexperienced ones. Combined with Robinsons pace and/or Harrads movement... woo I am getting very excited
