Midweek goals....

Marquis gets his first for Pompey, Henderson with another for Rochdale, Matt Crooks with both Rotherham goals at Ipswich and Ivan Toney once more for the Posh.

JJ Hooper scored the only goal as Wrexham beat Chesterfield in their FA Cup 4th qualifying round replay.

I would think so. "He hates the Cobblers" that is SO offensive....

This weekends scorers.....

Kyle Walker (1) scored a rare goal for Manchester City, his first since January
Ivan Toney (12) in Peterborough's 4-3 defeat at Blackpool
Michael Smith (4) for Rotherham in their 3-0 win at Gillingham
Matt Crooks (7) scored the other two in that game
Billy McKay (6) scored for Ross County in their SPL draw at Hamilton
Chris Long (4) scored for Motherwell in their SPL win over Livingston
Marc Laird (3) who spent time with us on loan 12 years ago now is plying his trade with Edinburgh City in the Scottish League 2

Gozie Ugwu (7) who was only on trial with us back in 2014 is now playing for Ebbsfleet in the National League. Just read the story that Wilder would have signed him had he not got injured in the pre-season friendly at Worthing. Due to his injury Wilder went and signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin on loan instead!

Adam Smith - disappeared without trace at Yeovil .
He has really fallen from grace and must be in a bad way .
In my view , the most over rated player we have had in 40 years of support .

He went back to FGR where he has also disappeared without trace.
Agree with your view.

In other news ...
Jim Smiths death has seen quotes in the media from Chris wilder and KT who clearly knew him well at Oxford . You can see elements of Smith in Wilder I think . Both old school .

Had the 'pleasure' of watching Joe Laciofano playing tonight for St Albans City at Oxford City (3-3).
I was one, eager to see him in the first team at the Cobblers but...
Have to say, rather a lightweight primadonna! Little in the way of work rate, spent most of the game basically goal hanging and throwing his arms up and protesting every decision against the Saints - for which he subsequently got booked!
Doubt would cut it any higher than National League on that showing!
