I'd really like to see Bunney play in front of Martin. That way he doesn't need to worry about defending and Martin doesn't have to get a nose bleed.
Me too. i don't know if he will be the answer long term, but he is naturally left footed and might just provide us with much needed width on the left.

It's worth a try, not has if we are overloaded with left sided players is it ?

I would definitely try Bunney ahead of Hoskins, when he first joined I seem to recollect some good crosses and he may well have provided a couple of assists, he is a liability defending though as recently evidenced at Swansea, lucky to not get 2 yellow cards

Forget KC's cheap words about attacking football.
I will challenge him to a £100 charity bet that his team will NOT score 2 goals in a match for 50% of the games over a season!!!!

Not sure I agree - in today’s game even an out and out winger has to track back and defend - however deep or forward Bunney plays the opposition will spot it as a weak link to be exploited - we have older and better that could do the job but I suspect they knew more about L2 tactics so had to go.......

I was willing to give Bunney a second chance unfortunately he is worse than I remembered him, no pace whatsoever, terrible defensively and looks short of fitness, he will struggle to play league football IMHO.

i think your opinion is flawed on the basis that he is playing league football?! not that everything else you have said isnt spot on. as is the way with cobblers fans, those that arent playing are always going to be the saviour

To be fair, we all established 2 years ago that he isn't in any way shape or form a left back. That we all felt he had some potential to be a useful left sided midfielder. Or possibly even a wing back. Remember him playing in that role v Shrewsbury, got mom, then JFH subbed him at half time in the next game...which was effectively the end of him here, at the time. Unfortunately, he's come back into the team as a left back. On the back of playing as a centre back throughout pre-season. Its no wonder he's struggling!

Good call looked very good in left midfield. In fact had an excellent game, good lad.
