Poor decisions from the manager again today, scoring 3 goals in the first half against a good Plymouth side is just stupid.
We need to keep the players on the harness to reserve their energy, scoring 1 goal in the first half is plenty, then sit back n chill.

In all seriousness a well earned 3 points and a very good result.

A really well needed result, great performance from Turnbull, Watson, Hoskins and Williams.

If I was going to by hypercritical today, I'd worry about the fact that we should have scored a few more from the chances created if we were a good team, and I'm not sure what would happen to us if we lost Williams for a prolonged period.

Also, I'd argue you could easily spend the Morais money on either an Attacking Midfielder, Striker or full-back really.

Yes, why not? It's eleven against eleven and as we all know in football anything can happen and I don't think we're playing Manchester City or Liverpool.

Some of us thought we could do it  Wink

I can't remember the last time I said this but I thought we were superb today, to a man. The only disappointment was that we didn't go on to get 4,5 or even 6. Turnbull and Goode at the back were majestic and as for Hoskins, well, he's made one or two eat their words today.

I fully expected us to sit back in the second half and let them have all of the ball but it simply didn't happen and although they did marginally have more of the ball in the second half than the first they did very little with it, in fact I can only remember 1 real chance for them.

Well done lads, now keep it up.

That is as good a team performance that I have seen for 3 seasons...........................now to reproduce it time and again!

McWilliams, Goode, TURNBULL, Lines, Watson, yes Hoskins, Williams all 8 out 10!!!!

Passing, controlled football whilst playing a high tempo pressing game.

Thought we'd get battered...no one can honestly say they saw that outstanding performance coming...

Playing through the midfield rather than just hoofing it worked bloody wonders...

Benchmark set!

Very good display all round. To be frank we outplayed Argyle for large chunks of this game. They were slow and ponderous at the back and thought their centre back looked and played like a carthorse.  This strange idea of having 2 or 3 players in their area waiting for their decidedly dodgy keeper to knock it to them more often than not put them under pressure.  Just how Argyle have made such a great start to the season is simply beyond me.
As for us it was a classy performance with several players excelling not least Cornell. Williams was excellent as was Goode and Turnbull. McWilliams put in a demonstrably competent performance at right back. I agree with Welly Cobbler I think it was he who said we missed that we missed at least 3 top chances second half; the score should have finished 5 or 6  - 2 . The best bit for me was that after our 3rd goal quite a few of their supporters simply walked out well before half time. Bunney seemed more effective at left wing with Martin covering. Certainly their no 2 was less of a problem. Watson played a real centre mid game, here there and every where. His crunch tackle at the beginning set the tone for the rest of the game.Enough said about Williams and Hoskins but they looked a step up in class on previous games.  I would say that the extra work on the training ground is paying off for Hoskins. The team have certainly made a performance benchmark today, even by their own admittance. We still need reinforcements up front, midfield and full back; if good ones we maybe unstoppable.
Excellent tactics, team selection and substitutions by KC.  Blows a few a grandiose experts on here out of the water.

Good day at the office all round.

Was disappointed by the crowd today or lack of it; especially the North Stand what is their problem?

If you saw the Swindon game and I thought you did it was a potential hint that we could do better.

I think the stayaways have seen the poor one dimensional play so far BUT after today, if we replicate the performance, no excuses they should return....................over to the players (and KC!).
