Went to see Swindon v Plymouth yesterday - my son is an Arglye fan and it was his birthday. For 2 of the more fancied teams the match was awful - hoofball, 2 offsides, 3 corners, no shots on target until 45th minute. Dreadful game - if this is the standard any half decent team should rip up this league. Makes it all the harder to see the Cobbs languisihing in the bottom half.

Yeah but the Cobblers are nowhere near being a 'half decent team' so we will languish in the nethers.

I saw that game as well. First half neither side looked great, but I thought Plymouth were very good in the second half. I agree that the bar for finishing in the top 7 isn't particularly high though.

The first half showing from both teams made them look ordinary but in the second half, especially in the last 25-30 minutes, Plymouth looked a very good side to me and played Swindon - who were hardly in it in the second - off the park.

I've said elsewhere it's the poorest league two in years. The fact that we seem to spend time worrying about teams like Macclesfield, Sc***horpe, Leyton Orient and the rest shows how far we have dropped our standards.
I've seen most Cobblers games this season and haven't been massively impressed with any opponent so far which makes it even more worrying for us.
