Sacking Sammo was the start of the ridiculous manager revolving door policy - sure we got lucky with CW but outside of that it has been a shambles - Sammo had the respect of the players (man management) and when you hear him co-commentating its clear he knows football - we certainly could (and currently are) doing a lot worse!

Nice to see him back, nice bloke, knows his coaching. Should never have been manager though.

Thank god he was though, else that night in Liverpool would never have happened! Disagree btw as I think he was a more than competent manager, especially when you consider the dross we've mostly had in charge since...

To be fair you dont know the Liverpool game wouldn't have happened. Sammo has done alot of coaching since he left, how many managers jobs has he had ??

A very positive announcement for the future of the club. He knows the right people in the County junior football scene.
Good luck for the future for the club and his benefit.
Now get KC to start playing Pollock, Roberts and the future stars of our club!

Wasn't he the last manager to work within budget? He admitted this was a mistake, he should have been knocking the chairman's door down for money to sign players instead of making do with the likes of Rogers, Herbert and the flawed talent of Thornton. He certainly didn't deserve the humiliation of being replaced by that tw@t Johnson.

Is Sammo being groomed as his replacement?

I do believe this appointment should have been slightly different . JB should have taken the senior role and Sammo the under 18s. I think JB has earned the promotion and sammo hasn’t a great deal of experience in youth set ups I don’t think KC has anything to do with any of it and so there is no need for him to comment

You cannot compare SuperKev with Rogers & Herbert. We could do with someone like him at present, to alleviate the boredom of the dross currently being served up. I agree with you about Johnson though.

Sammo a true legend still remember that last minute goal at Boro early 2000s near Christmas. Welcome home.

Are you suggesting that this wasn’t a KC decision - I must admit it did cross my mind that this could become problematic if it was a KT appointment?
