Just a comment in passing;

I notice Man City heavily discounted ticket prices for their game against Port Vale at the weekend. We need to bare this in mind if we get a big club away in the Cup. The receipts might not be so good as we think though still very welcome.

£10-£25 for their season ticket holders/Cityzen members and £15-£35 for general sale. Vale estimated they would still earn between 200k and 300k from gate receipts, plus another 50k from TV rights to the extended highlights and overseas broadcast.

Thanks for this. Need to take out the VAT of course (an issue for some clubs in the past !).

It's certainly a windfall.

So at worst another £125,000, at best another £250,000. Nice. Can we clone McCormack with that sort of money do you think?

FYI the 5th round is on Wednesday 4th March as all ties are being played midweek, so those hoping for an easier 4th round tie in order to get a big away day later on should consider this.

Wayne Rooney was filling a similar role for Derby that McCormack fills for us (when fit).

19.35 on BBC 1.
Don't the BBC usually have an outside broadcast from the ground of the biggest no hopers involved in the draw?

Would have been a decent draw if it were an away day. Shame.

First competitive meeting between the two sides since 1967...and we have never beaten them in the 10 competitive games over the years.

Would have preferred it to be away....however we can always go for the replay!
