1,479 turned up for their home replay win against Salford City in the First Round. We've attracted more for our home games in the Football League trophy. This might just be the least lucrative 3rd round draw !

The general consensus then is that it’s a very underwhelming draw. A small club, small ground with poor support. So not a money spinner, unless we win of course and that’s the only thing it’s got going for it is that we have a chance of winning there or getting a draw and winning the replay. Then we’d hope for a big club in round 4. At least it won’t take our minds off the League between now and January.

On the plus side our chances of making the final have marginally improved?

Understated positivity, Good to see!

There were worse draws out there, Gillingham and Portsmouth away being prime examples.
I fancy us to give them a good game and possibly beat them if we can maintain our form between now and then.
Be good to see JJOT playing again as well.

Try and contain yourself Cat, but someone told me Burton is most famous for brewing beer, and the name Burton is a corruption Of Beer Town?

Gillngham and Portsmouth infinitely better draws (for me).

Why all the gloom? Yea it's not a big team, but surely getting as far as we can in any competition should be the aim? There's no reason why we can't pull off an 'upset', as they're 14th in League One and we are the most in form team atm. I'm probably in the minority but I dont see the appeal of going to a big team and probably getting thumped!

First and foremost we have a good chance of winning this tie . Secondly , St George’s Park is well worth a visit - it’s a public hotel . Thirdly , be careful of any references to the travelling community in relation to JJOT - it is now recorded as racist abuse ! Ask Alan McCormack who reported it to the ref versus Grimsby.

Nigel Clough's teams have a good record in cup competitions, he took Sheffield United to the League Cup and FA Cup semi-finals and last season took Burton to the League Cup semi-finals. And we've played Burton 12 times since they joined the football league in 2009, so yeah i'd rather we had anyone else to be honest.
