I have officiated in quite a few of the FA Cup qualifying rounds over the years.  There is always a noticeably higher level of intensity in these games over the 'run of the mill' league games because of the money involved which, although relatively small to a full time professional club, are amounts that keep these clubs going or enable them to purchase/improve something that they wouldn't without it.

So everybody moaning about money filtering down to the grassroots levels just needs to take a look at how the FA Cup does exactly that then

Our game against Burton moved to 2.01 pm Sunday January 5th.

Reduced prices for terracing - £10 (£5 under 17s) and seating - £12 (£7 under 17s).

The two clubs appear to have heeded our concerns !

Utter garbage moving it to a Sunday, especially for those of us who travel from further afield, Lancashire, Sussex and Oxfordshire.

Still, thanks for small mercies...pushing the game back from a 2pm k.o. to 2.01pm gives us a little longer in the pub!

Why have they moved this fixture? It couldn't be any more low-profile.

 Huh? Huh?

Moved because the clubs wanted longer prep time after the New Years Day games.
Personally doesn't bother me.

Ah, that's fair enough and makes sense. I assumed it was for some kind of TV coverage (ie the BBC goals programme but I think that only runs in the first two rounds), hence my confusion.

All cup games will kick off one minute late. It's a FA mental health initiative called Take a minute.

So a minute for people to reflect and think "Why the fúck am I here on a freezing January afternoon?"

Looks like JJOT may not be in the starting 11 against us as in addition to his 4 match suspension he has an additional 2 matches added for abusive comments made to the referee who sent him off. This means he will next be able to play against us, but after missing 6 games will he walk straight back into the team?

Burton will probably want him to play a cup game to get him match fit, when he was with us it often took him a few games to get back up to speed. Let's hope he's off the pace Wink
